My Notes

This is a hard to come by property/setting surrounded by woods. Absolutely beautiful setting with 3300 square feet of living space on 6.56 acres just 4 miles from Lincoln Trail State Park and only 20 minutes from Mill Creek State Park. The house is off the road a bit so very pet-friendly as well away from neighbors and traffic. Quiet setting 8 miles out of town. Nice asphalt roads to the home. I had this house built in May of 1998 and we are the only owners. Hate to leave it but have had an employment opportunity that I can't pass up. It's been a great place to raise our kids in a country life we love. HUGE 2-car attached garage (788 square feet) so lots of room for two cars and some toys and tinkering. I've done all the upgrades, repairs and know every square inch. The walkout basement is completely finished off and has doubled the 1650 sq ft upstairs living space for 3300 total sq ft. 4 nice bedrooms with all walk in closets. 3 complete bathrooms (i have 3 women in my house). Master bath has a sectioned off shower and toilet from the vanity with a pocket door separating the vanity from the master bedroom. Beautiful walkout basement to the back yard and a wonderful view of the woods from the spacious 18'x18' deck that has a wrap around staircase to the walk out basement. Not uncommon to watch deer and turkey while sitting outside on the deck. I built a double decker tree house for the kids to play on and sleep outside just off into the woods from the yard. There is also a large 12' x 15' out building with a roll up door for storing the mower and other garden or outdoor equipment. There is a fireplace in the living room that can be either gas or wood and is currently set up for wood as there is an abundant supply just outside the back door. A new roof was put on in the summer of 2011.  You truly don't run across this type of property for sale very often. There is about 2 acres of yard that we keep mowed that really makes a nice setting and room to play for the kids. It has a 120' drilled well that has NEVER ran out of water (even during the drought last year). I installed a new well pump two years ago ($1,500).  A full carbon filter, softwater filter and cholinator system was installed when i built the house. There is also rural water available but i never pursued it. There is a tap right by the well for it that has a seperate line running into the house that makes it easy to switch if you wish and still keep the well for other purposes. I have wanted to build a pole barn for a couple years now but looks like i won't get the opportunity but would be the only thing left to add to this country setting. If you are looking for a home in the country with lots of room, a yard and room to grow, this house has been our HOME and we'd love to share with you all the great things about it and I'm sure it would make a great home for you too.Additional property info: http://www.forsalebyowner.com/listing/4-bed-Single-Family-home-for-sale-by-owner-8996-N-Grand-Turn-Rd-62441/23935579?provider_id=28079  More Less
