My Notes

Edit
Gracious 1962 Williamsburg colonial with detached two car garage on the banks of the Mianus River in North Stamford, less than a mile from residential Greenwich. Designed by noted Greenwich architect Herbert Lawrence Coggins. Expansive lawn rolls down to the river. Established plantings, old growth trees. Horse trails throughout neighborhood. Horse stable and paddock adjacent to property, another stable a quarter mile away. Plenty of space for gardens, paddock, pool and expansion. Much nearby preserved land and adjacent park land across Mianus River. Cozy bedrooms perfect for couple or small family. House has a large attic and two smaller storage attics off of second floor bedrooms. Garage includes large room for studio or storage and full attic. The home includes period details and design features (wide Carolina pine flooring on ground level, beaded clapboards and interior paneling, reproduction hardware and fixtures). Two working fireplaces with rebuilt chimneys (2012). New water pump (2013), new furnace and hot water heater (2013), new exterior paint on both home and garage (2012), new roof on both home and garage (2011), burglar and fire alarm installed. .
To be listed in September, 2014.
