My Notes

Edit
Spacious mid-century delight with sweeping views and wide-open 1.63 acres. This family-friendly estate is private, even with 7072 sq. ft. 5 big bedrooms, 5.5 baths. Double gourmet kitchen upstairs and apartment w/ kitchen downstairs. Lounge and full-sized wet bar downstairs is an entertainer's dream. New deck, 3 stone fireplaces, circular drive, pool, mudroom, wine cellar, barn. Per zoning criteria option to have your horse on this prop!

What I love about the home

This house is an ENTERTAINER'S DREAM! Of note is the enormous double gourmet kitchen with walk in pantry and restaurant griddle, two ovens, two dishwashers, and new boiling water on tap; the large built-ins throughout, the 2 wet bars and 3 wood burning fireplaces; the enormous great room with its view of river and mountain; the floor to ceiling windows on the view side of the home, the travertine floor in the entry and slate floor in the mudroom and guest bathroom; the 50 year fireproof roof, the new deck above the patio; the wine cellar with its heavy antique meat locker wood door; a large party room with built in leather wet bar with attached swiveling leather stools and waterfall behind the bar; the like new sauna, the 5.5 bathrooms, the amazing view of Mount St. Helen's plus the Willamette River, the great storage everywhere, the bedroom closets lined in aromatic cedar, the enormous workshop in the basement, the mother-in-law apartment and 2nd kitchen in the daylight basement and enormous privacy afforded by a home that is not visible from the road and has a second tax lot for greater buffer. All rooms and closets are oversized. The kitchen has 42 cabinets and they are solid oak, not laminate. People who visit tell me it is a Frank Sinatra house and they can see the Rat Pack hanging out and partying here. It is a unique property that only three families have enjoyed. Zillow has divided the property into two lots and given separate values to each. If Zillow is correct, the property line goes through the house. The house and land it is on is valued at $1.16MM but the second lot is an additional $1.44MM (when this was posted). The grounds contain an in ground fenced gunite pool with diving board, a greenhouse and potting shed, a one stall barn, and a vineyard and orchard.

Zillow predicts 97034 home values will increase 4.1% next year, compared to a 4.3% rise for Lake Oswego as a whole. Among 97034 homes, this home is valued 141.6% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 22.3% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In 97034, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 30% greater than in Lake Oswego, and 50.5% less than the national average.
