Our very large 1625 square feet, 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, condo is in the most happening neighborhood?Wrigleyville! Our first floor unit has a new (2006) designer kitchen with stainless Jennaire side by side fridge, Whirlpool stainless slide-in stove, white high end Sears dishwasher, built in white GE microwave, white wood 42 inch Cabinetcraft cabinets with many designer features including glass fronted doors/shelves with interior and under counter lighting, 30 inch wide piecrust front white farm sink with chrome Roehl gooseneck faucet/sprayer. Other kitchen features include: pull out 2 can garbage, spice cabinet, small pullout pantry, corner lazy susan, extra wide drawers for silver with racks, upright pan closet, 4 deep pan drawers, all drawers are lined in cork., bookcase, wine rack, pull out exhaust fan, dish rack and mantel. Granite counters are 2 inch thick Venetian Gold and huge island with ogee edge--WOW.
Our condo has two full tile baths, one with full size tub, one with a large shower, both freshly painted, with pedestal new sink in one and granite vanity top in the other, both have new chrome Brozio designer faucets, new chrome/nickel Pottery Barn lighting, new white wood vintage style medicine cabinets from Williams Sonoma. All the lighting fixtures have been replaced with dimmers throughout house. There are Art Nouveau style chandeliers in dining room and kitchen. Large brick wood burning fireplace. We restored all the window and door surrounds to the originals, installed crown molding, restored all the solid panel doors, all painted white. Round bay facing Addison Street, 4 very large closets and a tall linen closet. Stackable washer/dryer in unit, natural color hardwood floors throughout, carpet in bedrooms (12 x 17 and 10 x 12), and dining room is 12 x 17, living room is 25 x 17.
Neighborhood Description
The Neighborhood is great. Wrigleyville and the Cubs are an anchor for the area. There are great bars and restaurants on Clark. Boystown on Halsted Street is nearby and has great bars and restaurants. We are literally a block from the Red Line Addison Street stop, busses at the door. We have always parked on the street (zoned) and get a free sticker for Cubs parking. There is a great Jewel nearby and Whole Foods is opening up this winter at Halstead and Waveland. Plenty of conveniences, Starbucks, ATMs, Drycleaners, it is a real neighborhood. We feel safe here, our car which we park on the street has never been bothered. Come see for yourself.
 

What I love about the home

We love the condo and our neighbors. The kitchen is a wonderful addition, and the convenience of having an in unit washer/drier cannot be beat. There are two large closets in the master bedroom, open out with two large doors, all have closet systems, shelves for shoes, bins for summer clothes, more than enough for storage. The second bedroom has a great closet system too. The coat closet by the front door is huge. There is a deep and tall linen closet. New carpet in smaller bedroom (2006) now used as an office. Wired for cable, two phone lines. There is a deck in the back of the unit for grilling. 10 aluminum double paned/screened windows throughout. All new systems: new gas furnace (2005), new gas hot water heater (2004), new washer (2005), new electric drier (2003), new kitchen (2005), new sinks/faucets (2006). A very large locked storage room comes with this unit in the basement; it is at least 6 feet by 10 feet large. We will pay for one full year of off street parking at the LeMoyne School lot as part of this offer at closing. This parking lot is less than a block away. We have always used on street parking (zoned), but you may need off street parking, so we are making this part of the deal, which is worth over $2400. The Condo is self managed, all owner occupied, 9 units. Pet friendly. Excellent financials, condo fees for this unit are a low $206 a month. No special assessments, we already paid for a new roof, repointing the entire building and a new parapet wall at the roof. We take good care of the building and everyone cooperates and gets along. This is an excellent opportunity to own something that is ready for your special touches. For sale by owner, please no brokers at this time. Check it out!
