Neighborhood Description
The Renaissance Ridge Homeowners Association consists of two separate developments, The Reserve and Renaissance Ridge, in Sammamish, Washington, USA. The Reserve consists of 30 homes built by Conner Homes and sold from 1998 to 2001. Renaissance Ridge, built by Polygon Northwest, was built in two phases. Division 1 consists of 172 homes, sold from 1998 to 2000. Division 2 sold from 2000 to 2002 and consists of 98 homes. In all there are 300 homes in the Renaissance Ridge Homeowners Association, and all are considered to be in one, unified neighborhood.
Polygon Northwest controlled the Homeowners Association until August 2001, when control was transferred to the homeowners. The first Board of Directors was elected, and spent a busy first year establishing meetings, budgets, protocols, interpreting rules, and identifying major issues within the neighborhood.
The Board of Directors meets every month, and there is an all-neighborhood meeting at least once a year. In August the elections take place for the next year. The new Board appoints committee chairs, who in turn recruit members and maintain their committees.
The rridge.org website went online on April 12, 2002. Brett Waldbaum was the first Webmaster and created the original layout and content with additional input from the Board. He also wrote the homeowner and board member log-in pages and code, and continued maintaining the website until 2010. The website is now maintained by Mauricio Cadena; send Mauricio e-mail and let him know what you like and what ideas you have for improvements.
