My Notes

Edit
Second chances don't come around often! This former school, built in 1928, has modern loft-like apartments with very high ceilings. The location, between Brooklyn Heights and Downtown, can't be beaten for transportation or amenities. Several upgrades have been done to this particular apartment most notably the installation of hardwood wide-plank floors. Rooms are sizeable with a simple-to-design layout. The abundant closets have been custom fitted and their doors replaced. Track lighting has been installed on beams in both rooms but for daytime a bright northern glow comes in through the over-sized windows. A separate kitchen has a dishwasher and pantry. The building does permit the installation of washer and dryers although a cheerful laundry room can be found on the building's second floor. St. John's College is now a full-service, meticulously maintained, pet-friendly elevator building with an ornate lobby. Two elevators cut down on wait time and it is definitely worth taking a ride to the roof deck. The bicycle room was recently remodeled and there is a storage room. Not far from the much-loved waterfront park that offers beach volleyball, soccer fields and great runs.  More Less

      Market guide

Zillow predicts Downtown home values will rise 7.7% next year, compared to a 2.9% rise for New York as a whole.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Downtown, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 218.9% higher than in New York, and 23.9% less than the national average. This higher local number may prevent Downtown home values from rising as quickly as other regions in New York.
