Living in Judith's Fancy, you'll be rocked to sleep each night by the lapping waves and sound of water on the rocks nearby. You'll be cooled by the consistent Northeast trade winds that kiss the shore of this community (hence the higher value of property on the Northeast shore). There is a near barrier reef beyond the shores of Judith's Fancy which usually limits shore waves, but storms can sometimes bring in waves to the beach, along with significant salt spray.
Most of the beach in Judith's Fancy is a nice combination of powdery sand and rocks. The area by the beach is buffered by a continuous natural swath of Sea Grape Bushes of 5-10 ft. height. All of the land is in its natural state, having never been built upon. The covenants allow owners to build at the level of the average highest 20% of elevation, so a home on this parcel could be about 15 feet above sea level.
Neighborhood Description

What I love about the home

The community of Judith's Fancy offers residents so many nice advantages and amenities. First, there is security! With only one way in and out of the community, and a 24-7 guard at the gate, the guards always know who is in the community and why. Second, is the long shoreline, which is great for walking and beach combing. The community itself, with the nicely paved and maintained roads, is a wonderful quiet place to walk and great place to meet and catch up with your neighbors. Third, the location of the community is a tremendous benefit for several reasons. It's an eastward facing peninsula which means that it captures the trade winds beautifully. The neighborhood is centrally located on the north shore, and convenient to everything! It's about a 15 minute drive to Christiansted; about 30 minutes to Frederiksted; and no more than 15 minutes to shopping, the hospital, medical facilities, anything you can think of! The adjacent National Park is perfect for kayaking, snorkeling, walking, exploring, even diving, and you can do all this on your own if you like. There is even an old boat wreck that sits close to land, but on the edge of the depths. There's a great dive shop just across the Salt River offering tours of all kinds. The area is famous for dusk luminescent phytoplankton on kayak tours. Nearby you'll find Buck Island Reef National Monument. Cane Bay, just 20 minutes down the road, is the closest land to deep water in the world, and has been voted one of the top 10 best diving destinations in the Caribbean.
