PERSHING MIDDLE SCHOOL IS THE BEST BY FAR... they have great academic techniques the teachers are outstanding they have a superior ecosystem and as you can tell from my vocabulary thanks to Mrs.Angela Ford-Castille is very etiquette although i had one controversial problem with one teacher who is now retired THANK GOD over religious remarks and getting detention for it the school is not bad at all great magnet programs and great sports athletic teams i am glad to be going to seventh grade at this wonderful school i highly recommend you send your child to this school

My child attended Pershing for 6th and 7th grade 6th grade wasn't too bad due to the fact we were getting adjusted to middle school but 7th grade has been horrible. We were without a Math teacher from October to January. Im not sure if the teachers are over worked but it's definitely a hit or miss. You may get a teacher who cares you may not. I could go on and on but the worst part of the entire year has been the countless fights on campus. The criteria of the students at this school has decreased and it was surprising to hear from my daughter about all of the fights and commotion going on at the school. I firmly believe the principal is disengaged and living in a bubble and has no clue to what takes place in the classrooms. The turn around time for communication between parents and teachers needs huge improvement. We will not be returning for 8th grade. Please do you research.....

My child love's Pershing! It is fantastic! My daughter tells me the complaining students are often the ones who would rather not be A.P. or try their best. Unfortunately there are those who run society and those who follow. If you are a runner Pershing has one of the best Magnet programs around.

This school is the worst school I have ever went to. There is only a few good teachers the rest will just sit there doing nothing screaming at us for no apperant reason. There is CONSTANT bullying. The lunches are HORRIBLE. We have the shortest amount of time to get to class! We still have to go upstairs go to our lockers I mean some of the classes take a running pace to get to on time! The dress code we can only wear it if it says pershing!? Really!? Thats just a way to get money. We can only wear it if its our color! Why!? We have grade level undershirts I.D.'s and the hallways to tell us what grade we're in. The homework is crazy!!! Everyday giant packets for homework for nearly every class. This school is what makes me hate going to school. A girl cant hug her best friend because its PDA!!! A girl cant hug a boy even if its her brother because its PDA. No piercings allowed!? Why?! Come on pershing. Stop being so strict. We're teenagers not slaves.

Pershing is a great school. The kids there are amazing I admit some may be trouble makers or bullies but thats at every school. However I do not like how if a person hits you first if you hit back you get in trouble too.I think that's unfair. I'm in the gt program and I will leave with 3 credits for high school already I think that is amazing. I think any kid would be lucky to go to Pershing.I would actually cry when I couldn't go to school. That's how great the school is I have made friends I will have forever. The fact that Pershing has so many kids also makes everything even more amazing. No school is like it. So um yea I like Pershing but it is up to you so you should look into Pershing. As a bonus I mean pandas are pretty cute so that helps to.

I think everyone should know that Pershing is awesome. They dont sell drugs! Don't think that. Dont believe what others say... Yes there were some accidents but that can happen to one OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE WORLD. GO PERSHING PANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love Pershing. Choosing Pershing was my greatest choice and the 3 years in Pershing was the best 3 years in my life. The people there are so kind sweet and funny and going to school is probably the only thing i want to do. When i came to Pershing i didnt know a lot of English but thanks to all the helpful teachers and the friendly students i was able to make friends and become much better at English. The education at Pershing is great and as years passed by the test scores had gone up thanks to the new principal. Choosing Pershing might be the only choice u will never regret.

Pershing Middle school is by far the worst school I have ever been too. The teachers there don't really care too much about their student's feelings and are straight up rude. In my eighth grade year a teacher made fun of a girl and called her dumb to another student while she was in the room and made her cry. This is the perfect example of what the majority of the teachers that work there are like unjust and cruel. The administration tries to change the negative things about the school but it seems like when things fail they give up. The so-so education that school has to offer is not worth putting your child through three years of misery.

I just have one thing to say...THIS SCHOOL IS STRAIGHT UP FIVE STAR! You'll love this school so much you will never regret being there. The principle has great leadership and you'll never know she's a principle because she always walk around the school and help out with everything so you'll feel like she's just a teacher and you wont be afraid to talk to her. The teachers here are the most loving advanced in teaching and probally the funniest people alive! The students here are very friendly towards other and they absolutely love new students~ I have been in Pershing for 3 years and im graduating this year. My brother is very picky and he was forced to go to this school even though he likes Pin Oak but now he love it so much he doesnt want to move school anymore~ I would totally RECOMMEND this school because it's fantastic~!

Four Words Cross Country is awesome The Athletics program here is just plain awesome. Cross Country and Track are great. The coaches are friendly and they help you become a better athlete. The teachers are great and the class rooms and awesome. I am not gonna lie it's not the perfect school but it's as perfect as it will ever get. =]

Our family has been very pleased with our granddaughters experience at Pershing. She has been challenged academically thru their "gifted and talented" program. She has enjoyed a multi-cultural exposure and made many new friends. The sports programs at Pershing have been really great for her. She does at least 3 sports year round and loves playing for her school. This is a GREAT neighborhood school!

Pershing Middle School has been a blessing for our family and neighborhood. Our child will be moving on to High School in 2013 and she will have 3 High School Classes already completed! The Fine Arts program are a plus even though we are zoned and did not need apply. The Vanguard classes employ critical thinking and in my opinion are un matched to any private school in Houston. We are PROUD PANDAS!!!

Sad memories from Pershing my two kids got bullied in this school and for two years I am not able to reach the principle of this school or find a solution with the principle assistance every time my kids tried to defense them selves they got punished and if you ask the school to do something they do not care. Teachers there are unhelpful screening in their class rooms and un-understandable to any situation. I spent two years of struggling and tears. I am glad I moved my children away of this disaster environment.

This school has a great group of teachers. We have brought the rating of Pershing up to "Recognize". The school also has great diversity among the student body and excellent extra-curricular activities.

I can't believe the people from the PTO at Pershing Middle School act so rude towards people that need of there assistance especially the lady in charge of the uniforms. Shes supposed to set up an example and be nice to her customers but instead screams at people in public. Pershing staff pay attention to whoever wants to help if they really want to help they should be nicer.

I went to Pershing MS for 6th and 7th grade all i have to say is I had the best time of my life there and wish I could have gone back for 8th grade to continue going to good classes and seeing my favorite teachers and friends. Although a lot has happened at Pershing i would still rather go there than anywhere else.

I am a student at this school. I think the teachers are decent but so many of the students here don't know what good learning is! There's too many students here already and it's not a very good school
