Branding Requirements

While Zillow APIs are free, we require that you adhere to the following branding requirements.

Zillow Logo

An approved Zillow logo must be displayed on any web page that displays data from any of the Zillow APIs. The logo must link directly to http://www.zillow.com/. Logos cannot be resized or edited. Alt text for the image must be "Real Estate on Zillow".

Links

Any web page on your site that displays data from one of the Zillow APIs must include the links described in the sections below. The link to Zillow must use the standard linking format on your site. The link must not be implemented in a way that would prevent a search engine bot from following it (no "no-follow", redirects, javascript links, etc.)

Address Level Information

If you are using the GetZestimate, GetUpdatedPropertyDetails, GetSearchResults, GetDeepSearchResults, GetChart, GetComps, or GetDeepComps APIs, you must

Use the label "Zestimate^®" anywhere a Zestimate valuation is displayed. Terms such as "estimated value" or "home value estimate" cannot be used to label a Zestimate valuation.
Use the label "Rent Zestimate^®" anywhere a Rent Zestimate is displayed. Terms such as "estimated rent" or "home rent estimate" cannot be used to label a Rent Zestimate.
Include a link that reads "See more details for [address] on Zillow" on any web page that displays the Zillow API data, replacing [address] with the address of the home. The link must use the URL returned by the API in the <homedetails> tag.

City and Neighborhood Information

If you are using the GetDemographics API, GetRegionPostings, or GetRegionChart APIs, you must:

Include a link that reads "See [region] Real Estate on Zillow" on any web page that displays the Zillow API data, replacing [region] with the name of the region. The link must use the URL returned by the API in the <forSale> tag

Mortgages

If you are using the GetRateSummary API, you must:

Include the phrase "See more mortgage rates on Zillow" on any web page that displays the GetRateSummary API data. The "mortgage rates" portion of this phrase must be a link to http://www.zillow.com/mortgage-rates/

Mortgage Calculators

If you are using any of the following calculator APIs, you must follow the co-branding rules associated.

CalculateAffordability
- Include the phrase "See affordability calculator options on Zillow" on any web page that displays the CalculateAffordability API. The "affordability calculator" portion of this phrase must be a link to http://www.zillow.com/mortgage-calculator/house-affordability/.
CalculateRefinance
- Include the phrase "See refinance calculator options on Zillow" on any web page that displays the CalculateRefinance API. The "refinance calculator" portion of this phrase must be a link to http://www.zillow.com/mortgage-calculator/refinance-calculator/.
All other calculator APIs
- Include the phrase "See mortgage calculator options on Zillow" on any web page that displays the API data. The "mortgage calculator" portion of this phrase must be a link to http://www.zillow.com/mortgage-calculator/.
