What a great little school in a beautiful location! Isle La Motte Elementary has an excellent principal who is great at training and mentoring young teachers. With small class sizes it's possible for the curriculum to be tailored to each child's ability regardless of grade or age. Classes are often grouped by ability -- and it's wonderful to see children experiencing multi-age activities in and out of the classroom. The school makes great use of the learning opportunities both in the islands and in nearby Burlington. I am proud to have children in this school!
Isle La Motte has a warm close-knit school community of pre-K - 6th graders. We honor each student as an individual. Come visit our lovely island school!
I am so proud of our small productive school. These children are receiving and participating in an amazing and advanced learning experience. The staff and principal have their arrows heading in the same direction making all efforts that much more effective. These children are exposed to learning opportunities unavailable to other schools due to the innovative and persistent of the hardest working principals I have ever met. I have worked in other elementary schools and the level of respect empathy and acceptance of each individual for who they are is very impressive. I commend their hard work.
Needs a little help...Very smalll but goood for kids that are starting school!
I am a mother of a kidnergarten student who has done very well in this school. My son has been given extra work to accomadate his growing interest in reading. I do find however that there is little to no extra curricular activities limited music art gym. I have comt to the conclusion to move based on this I just want more for my children. The school does what they can with what little money they are alloted.
