Terry Parker has a lot of potential. We've got IB that's going to bring our grades up immensly. The class of 2015 also has a good amount of brainiacs who are extraordinarily great at testing. It just REALLY needs to be kept up with on the building. That's a big one for me PLEASE go for the new appliances and building up-keeps. The children who don't have any class are the ones who fight and they get made fun of for it plus you know security. So I think eventually kids will get there acts together as Terry Parker becomes one of Jacksonvilles best! I love my teachers and love all of the extra curicular activities too.

Terry Parker represents the Arlington community--diverse civic pride that's fallen on hard times economic struggles. There are a lot of hurting kids but there are also really talented kids--in the arts academics sports. I am impressed with the commitment of the teachers; several are Parker alumni and are there for the kids. It is a safe school under the leadership of Mr. Davis. Make sure to take the hardest classes you can manage and you'll find other students who he found a core of kids he want to learn--Parker has AP IB dual enrollment Fl virtual school options.. My son came from a challenging private school overseas and at first he was shocked by the way classes were so easy and student's attitudes so bad but he found some through band that are good kids also. He became more self-motivated and is taking Algebra II online. Sure public school can wear you down but it's also a way to expose yourself to diversity and others less fortunate. Parent involvement like at many high schools is low but there are core parents who are really there too. We are moving to Springfield but our son wants to continue at Parker.

I came to TP two days in a row to get help for my cousin. The Wizard of Oz (Principal Davis) was out both days. The guidance counselor insisted we have an appointment though we were right in the office. I'll tell you one thing though who ever they have contracted to wax the floors they are waxed really good. Other wise The school reception is HORRIBLE.

This School is Horrible. The Teachers Are to afraid to teach they way they are suppose to. The Administrators wont let them have fun while teaching their students. The Discipline is awful. They Should discipline students the same if they do the same thing especially together. I Learn More Out of School Rather Than in it. This School Is horrible and if it was my choice I wouldn t go here!

Everyone at the school needs to be trained on how to treat students with ADHD. Suspending them is not the answer. Yes the teachers and some staff seem to be stress out or just unconcerned! I am not satisfied with this school at all!

my son graduated from TPHS last year. It was not a bad school but it was not a great school either. Most of the teachers did not seem to care there was little communication between the school and home. I was not happy with it overall. I will not be allowing my other children to go there.

I went to Terry Parker for 6 months and I like it. Im from Oklahoma and I had a great time the teachers were great and the students were very nice....

The school needs to follow rule on discipline for all students. Teacher should not have to put up with unruly students. There very disrespectful (students).

Terry Parker is not a good school. My son has started failing this year. Teachers don't care or call you. No detention (no funding for it) I am putting my child in private school next year or moving!!!

Teachers appear to be stressed out. They are standoffish. The PTA seems to be non-existent. I paid my dues months ago however I have never seen or heard anything from them despite my calls.

I'm an '06' graduate of a Terry Parker and my 4 years there were the best 4 years of my life. The teachers and academics are amazing.

Terry Parker is a great school that works hard to educate and help students.

Both my children went to Terry Parker High School..and lucky for me they are at UNF..That school is a dissappointment to me.

It was 'ok' when my daughter went there. She graduated in 2001. It had begun its decline then. The arts are a major concern to me. They recently shut down the band program at Arlington Middle so now the only school feeding into TP is Fort Caroline Middle. The once top-rated Terry Parker Marching Braves will soon be a thing of the past. That will be a sad day for both the spirit ofthe school and the spirit of the community. Why can't the Duval County School Board do their job and manage our schools properly? That is what I want to know!
