As a semi-recent graduate from this school I can truly say that though the school spirit maybe high academics don't even register on the scale to even be consider moderate. All the teachers that focused on the students and high academics have finally all retired. I am not talking badly for the whole district the elementary and middle school academics do indeed build a strong foundation; however the preparation for higher education whether it be a 4-year university or a 2 year school is not there in the Senior High School. I have known the top 10% of the past graduation classes had to be sent to remedial math science and English. Athletics I would grade an A++ but for Academics the grade would be a C- or D.

This school does not offer the skills needed for entry level courses in the nation's top universities. The bar needs to raised significantly higher.

It's a highly academic shool with great sports teams.

Although imperfect at best this school offers a stable learning environment.I have gone here for 11 years now and I can honestly say that while the drama is plentiful the school spirit is high and the teaching capabilities go above and beyond expectations.

I am proud of going to school in Jeannette. Our children dont need to read any negative comments about our school. I had 3 children go to Jeannette and they were proud to go there also.

Jeannette is a very good school. People make it seem bad but it is a really good school to learn in. Plus they are extremly good at sports. Football is number one they will be going to Hienz field this year! I would recomend this school to anyone.

As a student of Jeannette Senior High I must say that I think our teachers are the best there is. They are dedicated to my classmates and I. They help us with everything. If we need help with American History and the math teacher is around the math teacher will help us with American History and vice versa. The same with all other subjects. Jeannette has changed alot these past 3 yrs. We now have an amazing new building which I will admit was needed badly. The only thing in Jeannette that is bad and unexceptable are some students. There are some students who think that they are so cool they can do whatever they want so they do just that. Overall Jeannette isn't a bad place to learn or to live.

As an alumni of JHS I am utterly appalled and embarrassed with the present ratings of Jeannette HS. The faculty and school board officials should be removed replaced and reprimanded for failing the youth of their community. Perhaps they should consider investing the tax payer's monies into teacher enhancement and not on school board party trips.
