This is the first year that my children are attending this school. My son in the 7th and daughter the 6th and I must say that thus far I am really happy. I was a little shaky at first because I came here to read the reviews and was a little disappointed. We just moved to the area and I wanted to see what other parents thought about thsi school. Well since they began I have been in contact with the teachers and asked my kids how they like it. The teachers are very helpful and popping up at one of the classes I saw that the teacher was interacting with the students and they were actually learning so I am glad that I decided to send them to the school. I also agree with the last post it starts from home and we as parents must do our part.

I have 2 children both of which have attended this school. I have never had any problems with the teaching or the students. My opinion is that it is up to you as a parent to direct your children in the right paths. Yes we send them to school to be taught but remember who they look up to it is you the parent. My point is that we can't always push the blame back to the schools for what our kids do wrong. We have to take ownership of our children s actions

My daughter was one of the lucky ones. But with no thanks to Magnolia Middle. The students that want to learn have to endure 20-25 min. of class time to children who will not settle for class to start and teachers that can not control them. She was fortunate to have a few dedicated teachers. I honestly feel sorry that their talents are wasted at that school. I was determine that my youngest would not attend. My now high school daughter still talks about the lack of respect and disappointment she experience. We enlisted help from the principal we were passed to the vice principal we were and she was not heard but instead talked 'to'by the school counselor. Extreme waste of our efforts and my daughter's needs.

Out of all my years attending this school I would not recommend it. The many behavioral reports are disgusting. Fighting foul language bullying rumors etc. Any of this would make someone uncomfortable for attending a school. It seems to be getting worse by the years. The test scores are one of the lowest in the state and it can be very hard at times to actually have a well learning experience. Some teachers have no idea what they're doing and busy themselves with other things so you cannot even learn. I do admit that there are teachers and staff that try their hardest to provide a good educational environment. The only problem is responsibilty isn't being taken into action. The only concern of the school seems to be pride and school spirit. Yet at the moment there is nothing to be proud of. If people care it can be done.

I was in school for American Education Week. The teachers were doing a great job. I can't believe how hard it must be to teach middle school students. I was impressed by the security measures of the school.

I am an involved parent. My views are listened to all the time. I will speak my mind and let the principal know when something is not right. My daughter has great teachers and I am happy with the school.

I went to Back to School Night and I must say I was impressed. The turnout was more than I expected. The principal outlined major initiatives for the year and the teachers were exceptional. Overall my child is having a great beginning to the year.

I volunteer at the school often and I know that Magnolia Middle School has some of the smallest class sizes around. If someone wants do well it can happen if the student wants it bad enough.

It is very easy for a child to get lost in a class and writen off as 'dumb' and fail from being in croweded classrooms with ill equiped overworked teachers who can't convey the lessons effectively for the students to learn.

I know the author of an earlier letter. Some times people are not happy when they cannot get their way. There are a lot of great teachers and administrators at Magnolia Middle School. It seems that if people aren't happy they criticize. I was skeptical of the school but have had a good experience. Everything is not perfect and I dare any one to try to make everyone happy in today's society.

My children have gone to school here for the past seven years. There is a diverse population. The administration has been very responsive to my needs over the years. The teachers work hard with some very tough students. I think it is a great school and my children are happy going to school there.

Great school and great leadership. The principal is one of the hardest workers and dedicated to his students.

My child was hesitant to go to the middle school last year but he had a wonderful experience. He can't wait to go back. He was in the play directed by the music teacher and he was in destination imagination. Don't believe everything you here about this school. My son loves it.

Great School Of my 24 years teaching I've been at Magnolia Middle for 15 and have loved working here. The teachers and administration work hard to change and improve the school where neccessary.

I cannot recommend this school. The atmosphere is not conducive to learning. There is a severe problem with bullying fighting and verbal threats.

I am a student at Magnolia Middle School and I would not recomend you sending your child to this school. There are fights basically every 2 weeks and the scores are very low. I will say that this school does have a well balanced race and the teachers are terrific. The students and the Principals are a little shacky.

this school has a very bad reputation There have been alot of fights and bullying. Principal always passes his responsibilities to other faculty members who in turn pass issues on to whom ever they can. I sent my daughter here for one year she coundn't take it we enrollled her in a private school. Faculty do not want to hear anything about changes they think they are doing okay.Anyone in this school district should avoid sending their child here if at all possible.

Magnolia Middle School is not a good place to send your child. The drugs fights and rude manners are outrageous! The teachers aren't the best either one of the teachers loses all the kids papers....children will turn in their work and that one teachers loses it and asks you to redo it and by the time you hand it in she finds it....How irresponsible! I'm sorry to have to say this but other wise your kids will wind up no where they will never be able to get into the good schools that they desirve! This School Is The Worst! Do Not Send Your Child Here! Trust Me! You Will Be Thankful One Day! If you don't think i know the school I do my son attended there and my daughter attended there but in the 7th gradeshe left i told here You were accepted into St.Stephens! and she left!
