I would like to think that this school has improved since I attended many years ago but I do feel compelled to describe my experience as a student in this school. I received very little academic or social support from the faculty and staff at the school during my time there. I was frequently mocked and bullied by the children of faculty and was always penalized while the bullies would get away with their cruelty because of their relationships with staff. I never understood why until I looked back and realized that because my parents worked to put me through school instead of volunteering or donating money my safety (physical/emotional) and success were not as valued as those of my peers. When I transferred to public school (I begged my mother to let me because I felt so miserable at KCS) I was significantly behind my classmates in math and science. I feel that my secondary education and my social skills definitely suffered thanks to the lack of support I experienced at KCS. Maybe they've changed since then but I would warn any parent sending their child to KCS to be wary of nepotism and to seriously consider the more judicial environment offered at the local public schools.

Our son entered Kingston Catholic this year into Pre-K. I had heard so many great things about this place it is such a shame I didn't start our son there sooner. With in DAYS I saw a HUGE difference in my son. His talking his manner and all of the things he has learned are phenomenal. We are so super impressed with how my son is cared for there. We know dropping him off every morning that we can go to work and know he is safe and secure. Any questions I have they are immediately answered. The communication is outstanding between a parent and the staff. Our son often asks for his teachers on the weekend too! This was the BEST choice we have made for our son and we are excited to see what the future holds him for him at KCS!

My daughter entered Kingston Catholic School as a 6th grader and the transition could not have been any smoother! The kids in her class (and other classes) were very warm and welcoming and she said her first day was "amazing!" She loves her teachers and has gotten involved with many activities including guitar soccer dance glass art - just to name a few! She recently participated in a Read-a-thon and also helped collect spring clothing for the People's Place. She also collected donations for a new house for homeless veterans in Kingston and for Muscular Dystrophy. She is excited to go to school and gets her clothes ready the night before! As a new parent at the school I felt immediately at ease as the office staff and the principal are very friendly and professional. They go out of their way to help you and your child make the transition. I even got a phone call from the parent-teacher association president to ask me if I had any questions that I wanted to ask another parent. I thought that was fantastic!!! I am very satisfied with our new school - I wish we had come sooner!!!

Love this school. I have a high achieving seventh grader and a special needs 5th grader. KCS is able to provide an outstanding educational experience for both. The teachers are caring and motivating. And Mrs. Albert the principal is wonderful.

Kingston Catholic School is a wonderful place to grow & learn. There are many wonderful programs and activities that my children have the opportunity to be a part of all in a nurturing environment. I highly recommend this school to anyone in the area.

My husband and I transferred our two boys to KCS this year. We felt they weren't getting everything they needed to thrive at our local public school. KCS has provided the structure social support and true academic standards we were looking for. Since September I have seen a noticeable change in the boys' focus. They come home every day telling us about classroom content. The curriculum at KCS supports true academic rigor based on students' needs and high expectations. Positive engaging staff make all the difference. The KCS faculty fosters a safe and happy sense of security that allows students to be eager and interested learners. My husband and I agree that the tuition for KCS is the best money we've ever spent. As both a mother and an educator I highly recommend becoming part of the KCS family.

Kingston Catholic School is family. I am always welcome to help in any way I can and always welcome even when I have asked for more than I can give. I visited the Catholic Schools in the area and felt at ease with Kingston Catholic . No matter how crazy my life gets with deadlines and obligations I want to dedicate any time I can to the school because I feel that my efforts are appreciated. My children are happy and the teachers are loving caring and competent. I know that my children are safe and that they are learning how to be patient intelligent and thoughtful members of society. The Principal leads with grace and honesty. She is an integral part of the Spirit of Kingston Catholic School. I believe in her abilities whole-heartedly. The families are hard working and strong in faith. I have made many friends over the past few years and know that the families at Kingston Catholic have many of the same ideals that my family holds dear. Our children are growing together with a support system of like-minded families that can only improve their chances of surviving the disturbing breakdown of social morals and standards. God bless Kingston Catholic School.

Kingston Catholic School is a Catholic School unlike any other in the area. The Principal is an exceptional leader. She is strong and knowledgeable practical and dedicated. I have every confidence in her. The teachers are terrific examples of Christian values and have the patience and training to guide our children to life of intellectual and faith based success. I believe that my children are learning to be good people and are excelling in their academic studies as well. Kingston Catholic is not a superficial atmosphere of politics and religion when it suits ones needs. Kingston Catholic is a heart warming faith building atmosphere that helps children realize that God is our focus and that all things are possible with the help of God.

My daughter received an excellent education far surpassing the public schools in the area but besides that she learned a lot about family friendship community and sharing reinforcing what she learned at home. The Principal is a kind caring person and it shows in how she handles the students faculty and staff. The teachers are wonderful and get results in their exciting teaching methods. The school's technology labs (smart boards I-pads and nooks) are very exciting for the students. If you are looking for a private Catholic school in Kingston Kingston Catholic is a "must" to check out.

Kingston Catholic School is a warm family friendly environment welcoming and accepting of all students and families. KCS offers exceptional educational programs a multitude of extracurricular activities pre-care and aftercare as well as community service and outreach programs. The Kingston Catholic School Family Organization works closely with faculty students and families to organize family events fundraisers and field days all in order to strengthen the sense of community. KCS is my son's home away from home. He enjoys learning making new friends and is very comfortable at school.

I could not have asked for a better choice for my son. He was struggling in public and a private. I was told to get a diagnosis so he can get special ed services. There is no diagnosis to give him other than he is now an 'A' student thanks to KCS's staff and amazing commitment to each child as an individual. He is becoming a true independent learner with self esteem and a whole new outlook on school. My only problem with KCS is that they only go to 8th grade. I dont know what we will do without them but I know my son will be prepared to move on and be a success. Too bad for those other schools. They missed out.

My child left this school after 6'th grade to enter public school. He received high grades at Kingston Catholic. We're now learning that he did not master basic math concepts while at KCS nor were they taught. He is very far behind his public school peers. Nor did KCS provide enrichment course or most of the extracurriculars that they promised. The school lunches were atrocious and even included McDonalds cheeseburgers. This school is recommended as a last alternative only. Public school thus far has offered far superior academics and more exposure sociallly as well.

I used to go here until I switched to a public middle school due to the fact I thought it was a bit...deserted and I wasn't Catholic. The classes were very small and you had to try to fit in with the small groups of friends because there were only like 16 kids in my the whole entire grade.... I felt I wanted more friends to socialize and more people to be around with. It was very cozy though. I thought the idea of wearing uniforms was less stressful so I wouldn't have to agonize over what to wear...but I like wear what I want to wear...I also like to wear earrings and jewelry...which there you couldn't.... Ooh! And nail polish...if the teacher saw your nail polish...BAM straight to the principal's office. A bit strict.... However it gave me a good jumpstart education.

This School is ideal for a child entering 6th grade from public school or who is new to the area. It allows your child more time to adjust to the Middle School Years without becoming overwhelmed. Great teaching staff.

Both of our boys attended Kingston Catholic Pre-K program. It has provided them with a strong foundation in their faith. They have learned prayers and know much more about God and the Catholic Faith than many of their much older cousins and friends. They are given opportunities for music art and physical education as well as instruction in basic readiness skills such as color letter shape and number identification. I would recommend this program to anyone thinking of sending their child into a pre-school environment.

kcs has proven to be a wonderful experience for our family. while relocating to the area they provided an inviting environment with an emphasis on academic accountability and personal responsibility. The small size makes sure noone falls through the cracks and creates a really positive experience. It's great having 8th graders in the same school as younger students - it lets kids be kids learning their place with all ages. after-school activities have been a plus and although sports are not as competitive local leagues offer those opportunities. The crae and academic learning can;t be replicated elsewhere.

This school is fine for my three kids. The class sizes are small enough so that they get special attention if they need it and I find the teachers are very caring and involved with the kids. I think parents who criticize Kingston Catholic have to realize this is Elementary School and the relaxed atmosphere is much more positive for kids' development than a more disciplined approach. Whenever I go there everyone is smiling. The kids the teachers the principal. My three are doing fine and they like their teachers. This is their fourth year there and there is no other school in Kingston that I would send them to. I am a former teacher myself so I am judging from experience. My kids can hunker down and 'perform' in High School. For now they are enjoying their childhood at Kingston Catholic.
