My kids just started at La Crescenta elementary. They have had an easy transition. I love that we can walk to school everyday and life is a little bit easier. They both really like their teachers Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Bucur.

We are so fortunate to have our daughter attending La Crescenta Elementary School in La Crescenta California. Our daughter is now in the sixth grade and we have enjoyed the school since kindergarten. We have so many amazing children and their parents who care so deeply about this school. I am so very proud of all the teachers and our Principal who work so hard for our children. The staff in the office give 110% and are there to help our children each and every day. We have a wonderful GATE program and a music program and an after school volunteer run theater class. We also have a tremendous Meet The Masters Program that is parent run and I am so proud of our school.

The staff at La Crescenta Elementary school is very caring and supportive of the students and their families. Of course a great education is top priority but the staff also supports the students emotional well being. The parent groups work very hard to provide extra programs that are not paid for by the district. Technology Library improvement the Meet the Masters Art Docent program and the Bulldog Productions program are some of the enriching programs supported by the Foundation and PTA.

The teachers and staff make the difference. Although my children are no longer there I know that some of the teachers and staff are still there when my children attended. That just shows the level of commitment and dedication that exists at La Crescenta Elementary.

The teachers and principal at this school really care about each child. This is an awesome school. They particular care about children with special needs.

We believe that there is more than donations to a great school program. Principal involvement with students as well as parents it takes parents and teacher to achieve greatness within. We do not feel la crescenta has what it takes to be a great school when it come down to involving and listening to parents and students.

Academically the school is very good in fact it's the #1 school in its district for science. it does have good music and art programs though the art program is in danger of disappearing because not enough parents will help out. It is done by parent volunteers and is too much for one person to handle. As of this writing (sept.2007) the principal is excellent and has improved teacher moral and standards at the school. Safety is a real concern with the traffic around the school but options are very limited and all is being done that can be. I have two kids at LCE and feel they are getting a good education.

I have 2 of my kids currently attending this school. I feel parent involvement is great teachers like any other school you have some better than others but overall good teachers the principal is not very involved she says she is too busy to pay attention to safety issues like parking and picking up drop off areas. To me safety should be a big priority. The extra activities like music art and athletics are awesome. Again great parent involvement. Thank you to all of our great teachers for all the hard work.

La Crescenta Elementary is a good school. When we had to move our child out of private into public school I was happy to find that this school met the needs of our child and still had the private school feel as far as structure academics and standards that are important to parents. I also like the music and art dept. which is rare for an elem. school and it's tops! Great teachers great principal and excellent parent involvement.

Alot of parental involvement. Good teachers. I have a kindergartener going onto first grade. Teachers are attentive. New principle still unfamiliar to us.

I have a kindergartner and a fourth grader that attends this school. I feel that students are being pushed to work harder and are overwhelmed sometimes by their workload. Especially the kindergarten classes. They are already teaching them to read and write. It doesn't seem age appropriate. It's hard to see my child struggle with learning to read and write when children of this young age are required to settle down and get to work. I think that they have so many other tasks to accomplish such as learning to behave in a school environment and getting along with other children and just newly being away from home for most children who did not attend preschool and did not experience this type of independence. As for the upper grades I see alot of students being stressed or confused due to their workload and inconsistent curriculum.

My son has been attending La Crescenta for the past 4 years. I have been very pleased with the teachers and their teaching methods. I have compared our school with local schools within 10-15 miles radius and found that ou school stands out tremendously. I know we are not perfect but I am proud to say we are the best in our region. Even though we had a great principal up to last year and frankly I was afraid how things might change but I am extremely pleased with our new principal. I believe that his leadership and knowledge is going to make our school better.

This school is great because of the teaching staff. As in any 'business' environment there will be those who are strong in skills and those who are not as strong however all students feel supported by the staff of this school.

I agree with the Shawna Smith's review. I think the principle should support her teachers and she doesn't. She definitely doesn't think outside of the box.

This is a school with so much potential. However it's current management is just content with just keeping the basics going. There are a lot of good teachers at this school who don't get the support that they need.
