We have loved this school. My son is going into 4th grade and we are sad we are moving away from MES this year he has been there since K. Music is a big part of Minneola as every year the students get to participate in a musical. The reading enrichment programs have been wonderful as the students break out into groups based on their reading skills so they can be challenged based on their level. My son was also in the ELC program during the school year and sometimes during the summer he loved it and as long as I told the ELC director that we wanted him to do his homework there it would be done and he would have help as he needed it. We are moving to a school in Orlando that is rated a 10 on this site but I still leave Minneola with a heavy heart because this school has been such a happy place for my son.

It is doing a great job keeping up with changing times yet they are still taking care of their returning students with providing transportation.

This is a great school. I didn't vote five stars because I believe their is always room for improvement. Thank you Ms.D wilson for making the new year a warm and welcoming one. This is the fourth child that has attended this school and they did well. Thank you faculty and staff. You are all Great! Mrs. Anthill my daughter thinks you are the best teacher in the world. As a parent that means the world to me.

It all depends on the teacher that your child gets. I have two children that have spent two years each in the school. Of the four teachers my children have had only one (Ms. Raines) is a good teacher.

My son started here at MES this year. We have had the most amazing experience and his teacher Mrs. Larkin is exceptional. No doubt we made the right choice selecting MES. Thanks for a great Kindergarten experience.

I think the principal needs to retire i never new of a principal beinging so crewl to say to a parent if you dont like your child here then he doesnt have to be.. well my child is autistic so he doesnt have many options. also my daughter was bullied in her class and they did not handle the situation very well plus the women in the office werent the most welcoming

All three of my children have attend Minneola Elementary Charter School. I am very satisfied with the quality of teachers staff and Principles involvment with the students. I am only sad that when they finish at Minneola Elementary they don't have a great middle school to attend.

They should rename the school Reaves penitentiary. Hope the rumor is true that she's leaving after this year. Maybe then the kids can be kids.

The Pre-k teachers are very good with children as well as my daughters 5th grade teacher. Cant say much for the others! Drop off and pickup of students needs improvement. Children are rushed in and out of vehicles. Very rude staff at the drop off and pickup line. Glad my daughter will be moving on to another school next year! Will not be returning with my son for kindergarten.

I have two daughters who go to Minneola and love it! They do give stuff on very short notice but you just have to make sure that you are communicating with their teachers like you should be anyway. Both of my girls have had great teachers and the ESE Gifted program has been great for my oldest which is why we chose to come here.

I personally hated this school. My child required extra help due to a learning disability and her teacher did not want to do what was required to help. When I asked questions about her progress the teacher acted annoyed and bothered by my involvement. They took a long time to return calls and that's if they were ever returned at all. I eventually withdrew my child and sent her to another school where she did very well. I totally agree with the previous comment that some people don't need to be teachers.

This school was the only school that we thought would make a difference in my sons grades! I have 3 kids in this school and so far my daughter has done great! I have 2 boys that are very active and are very outspoken I have always supported that but at this school I dont think that they like it very much that a kid is outspoken! They are not allowed to be who they are and lord forbid that they get up to pick something off the floor...they come home with a orange!! The only issue that I really have is that if you cant deal with kids and their different personalities then you dont need to be teaching! Just my opinion!

I think that Minneola Elementry is a really bad school My son was at school when at play time two kids walked up to him hit him in the privets and then kicked him in the ribs. I did not get a call home or even a letter. When my son got home he had bruses on heim so I asked him what happened and then that is how I found out. I went to school the next day and they only have the one kid a 1/2 day of in school supension when he is always in trouble. Then to top it all off they did not even send him to see the school nurse to see if he was ok. Also no teachers were watching him kids had to get the teacher and get the kids off him. Then about a week later he fell from the monkey bars and hit his head they did not send him to the nurse nordid they see that. After I complained about both my son got a referal for poring milk and juice out on his tray at lunch not making a real mess. But the kids that beat him up did not get anything. So what would you think about this school? I rate it a 0. Also when the take their weekly spelling test they have 31 words to study and 5 mysterious words they can not study. so my son ends up with a C because of the words he can not study.

I have 3 children attending Minneola Elementary. My oldest is in the 3rd grade and has been there since kindergarten. We spent so much time researching schools. We read online parent reviews and compared test scores. We finally chose Minneola Elementary and prayed that we were making the right choice. Four years later we feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school. It is always obvious to me that the children's safety and education is the highest priority. My children make excellent grades and love their school and teachers. One of my children recently had the flu and cried because he didn't want to miss school. What more could a mom ask for?

This school always wants stuff in short notice. They want money for the feild-trip and wants food for this brunch. Then they want money for the graution party. Then i have to sigh every test my daughter gets. So I give this school a rating of a 5.

I have already wrote in but forgot another very important problem. They need to send home information more in advance if something needs to be sent into school i have had many ocassions where there was only 1 to 2 days notice for certain things.

My son just started Kindergarten and was having some problems settling down. His teacher Mrs Baumann did everything and came up with some great suggestions for him so he can keep quiet in the class. Everyday I get a report on how he is progressing and he is doing great. When a kid is excited about going to school I would say that the school is doing something great.

My children have had positive experiences at Minneola and the faculty's number one priority is their students.

We have never been as disappointed in a school as much as we are Minneola Elementary. The staff is not friendly in fact they are condascending and careless. They are not at all worried about the children's welfare and they are completely unorganized. I have called the school 7 times and 5 of them I had to leave a message. I only received a call back one of the 5 times and that was because on the message I brought up the fact that I have never received a call back. The school does not teach young learners phonics when teaching them how to read. It also does not call when your child does not show up to class so you wouldn't know if you child was in danger until you got off work. When it's all too late. My children have asked if they can go to a different school next year
