Ascension Lutheran is a Great school. I have three children attending and my oldest is graduating. I have seen my oldest Daughter grow from kindergarten to eighth grade to a wonderful intelligent and Christian young lady and that is thanks to the teachers and the whole Ascension Family and I can't wait to see the other two follow. Although things aren't always perfect with communication and lots of love that Ascension has anything is possible. My family has truly been blessed at Ascension Lutheran School. Thank You So Much for Helping me Raise and Teach my children.

We love this school!! Our two kids (4th and 6th graders) started here in Kindergarten. They love their teachers their classmates the school work and all the extra curricula activites. My husband and I love the fact that our kids are getting a high quality academic and fine arts education in a safe and Christian environment. And we know that when our kids graduate from Ascension they will be able to compete and go any top notch high school.

Love love love this school! We have a new principal who was a prior teacher. He is so dedicated to the children and it shows. My children love the school and the safe nurturing environment. They've learned so much and my 4th grader is blossoming into a strong leader. Ascension Lutheran School has been a blessing to our family!

Ascension Lutheran school is a wonderful hidden jewel in Landover Hills MD. The school nurtured my daughter while molding her into a model student. The teachers really take their time with teaching the students. I highly recommend Ascension.

We started Ascension this academic year. I find the curriculum to be will structed and I have seen a tremendous improvement in my sons reading and critcal thinking skill. The student body is small but very close. My son adjusted well. I am praying for some more students. This school is one of P.G Counties kept secrets.

Ascension is a wonderful school that provides excellent academics in a very nurturing environment. My daughter is in the 3rd grade and she (myself included) loves it! The small class sizes daily bible class and weekly chapel service and extracurricular activities makes Ascension one of Maryland's "best kept secret"!!!

My children have grown up in the school and the loving environment is like a second family. They are constantly excited about what they are learning and they are constantly challenged by the high academic standards of the curriculum. I am especially excited about the advances in technology at the school. The middle school in particular is very cutting edge. Students are using laptops regularly and learning to use technology as a productivity tool.

The middle school is an excellent place to prepare a child for high school. If it had not been for the quality instruction my children would never have been as successful in high school as they were. Excellent principal and excellent teachers

A caring and loving Christian environment with strong academic expectations. The perfect place for our child. It was the 3rd grade teacher who instilled a love of reading! Although she sometimes struggled the effort she had to put forth prepared her for the rigors of high school.

Ascension Lutheran School is a special place that cares about children. Teachers as well as administrators go above the call of duty to ensure every child is given a chance to excel daily. Well rounded school!

Academically this is a good student. The faculty tnes to discriminate when it comes to boys. They either want to label them or diagnose them. Because the teachers have been there for a long time the principal stands by them 100%. The parents are not allowed to talk to each other on the premises and the parents' concerns are not considered or a priotrity. They do not even allow the parents to do surveys to evaluate the teachers. The teachers are allowed to behave any kind of way and are not held accountable because of tenure. Hopefully things will change now that they are getting a new principle.

This school could be a good school if they would focus on the needs and concerns of the parents and not focus solely on the teachers and being strict. The teachers should take some courses so they could be in tuned to the children culturally and not trying to label them to justify why they mistreat them and ostracize them. I do agree that a few of their staff memebers behave very inappropriately but are not help accountable in the same way they want to hold the children accountable. This school need to take the time to wonder why so my children are leaving instead of focusing on getting new children to come in.

This is my son's first year at Ascension Lutheran School. I am very pleased with the education and care that my son is getting at the school. I see the stark difference in quality of education from public to this private parochial school. I highly recommend this school to anyone!

We LOVE Ascension Lutheran School and the entire Ascension Lutheran family. The "old school" approach to learning like handwriting and chapel is a treasure. We have been made to feel very welcomed and embraced. Thank you Mrs. Lucas for reaching out to our family. It wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
