I've been apart of this school district since 2001...my first child graduated in 2009 and I currently have 3 students remaining. I have seen many changes from staff to school board and administration. I can honestly say this is the first time I have seen POSITIVE & PERSONAL involvement displayed from our Superintendent Principal and Staff which in turn creates a positive environment for parent involvement because of the idea of working as a TEAM. I must say before I only knew of the superintendent by name only and occasionally seen the principal at school events. Now...It's Great to be able to put a name with a face and the students light up when they see the presence of their school Leaders at various events. GREAT JOB Gentleman & Staff...Keep up the Good Work -)
This school so far so good no complaints. My daughter is a new student and she really likes it. Besides her complaint about how strict it is she really likes it. These children need some type of discipline.Plenty activities for her to join and I'm pleased with her midterm grades so far. So far I think the principal is doing a great job. He has an open door policy when he can be available and he is willing to work with you with in reason. Change is good just a little getting used to!
Heritage has changed and not for the good. The superintendent is awesome but he has chosen a principal who has leadership issues. I hope that Heritage gets back on track for the sake of the children in the mean time I could not allow my son to be affected by the mannerisms in that school. The assistant principal is wonderful and they are going to lose her unfortunately.
This school has a horrible bully policy! The new principal horrible! I know 2 parents that pulled their children out!
This school is amazing and their band is so helpful to the community
My daughter has been in private school for most of her life. She went another public school for 1 semester before attending Heritage. The curriculum is great. Comparable to the that of the private school.
Heritage is a very good school. The staff as a whole is a top notch caring and a helpful group. They work very hard to make the school a pleasant learning environment for all students. I see a nice variety of learning experiences created for the kids. There are plenty of extra activities available beyond the school day (sports academics & special interest(art & music). I see a definite lack of parental involvement despite the many events planned to include parents in their child's learning environment throughout the school year (from Open House conferences Literacy Nights science fair sporting events a wonderful academic fair at the end of the school year Parents are also asked to serve on committees such as technology and discipline. We as parents need to support the school and promote the importance of learning to out kids so they can be successful!
i do advise parents to put children in this school.
Overall Heritage is a good school. The principal and teachers are focused on creating an atmosphere that promotes learning and the academic success of each student. The academic programs are of high quality although there is room for more artistic extracurricular activities. The main concern I have as a parent is the number of new students being enrolled seemingly every week. There are a large number of new homes that have been built in the district and this growing population adds significantly to the school population and class size. This of course has a negative impact on the attention the teachers are able to give to each student. Parent involvement is good; I really appreciate receiving weekly email updates from each of my daughter's teachers.
Heritage is a great school. The Staff along with the Teachers are very caring and work with on your child's individual needs. They also will be more than willing to communicate with parents via e-mail which I really liked because of my hectic work schedule.
Academic programs are good staff work hard to provide programs of interest to students. Music and art available could use a few more sports and academic clubs. There is a lack of parent involvement in school which seems to get worse every year even though the school provides at least 3 oportunities a year for family fun &/or and education.
I recentaly attend Heritage Middle School and am in 7th grade. I would have to say that the teacher at this school could use some improvement. The extracurricular activites are decent.the principal is a great peson. Our schools PTA does a lot of thigs to raise money for our school. The safty and discipline are good.
