Kay Carl Elementary school is one of the best schools in Clark County. They have an excellent selection of talented teachers and the curriculum includes a wide variety of subjects and classes. The students that go to Kay Carl elementary really like their environment. It is one of the best managed schools in the whole state of Nevada.

This school is lacking! The administration is a joke. You don't get any response. My child has been bullied and hurt at this school. And I didn't even hear about it until my child came home from school. No note or phone call. The PE Coaches basically run this school cart blanche. This is my second year at this school and thank heaven it is my LAST! Two words for anyone zoned for this school *OPEN ENROLLMENT* Get your kids out of there! p.s. There are some really GREAT teachers there.....but the administration ties there hands.

This school rocks! I was there for a couple of weeks doing a Observation as an undergrad last 2008. I thought the teachers were the very Earth Angels of the children. The teachers including the principal were more than Excellent! *I wish we can send this wonderful aricle to the desk of President Obama without red-tape! Just him reading and pondering how Kay Carl ES models what is the a Leader School of the Future!

This has been the worst experience I could have imagined for my children. My daughter didn't have a teacher for the second half of first grade and no one even told us the teacher had gone out on disability. They had numerous subs who didn't know what they were doing which caused my daughter to go from all A's to an F in math. We are still working to get her back on track and will be for the rest of second grade. At least we did get the best second grade teacher. And if they consider having the kids pick up trash as a great P.E. program then there are major problems at this school. I can't wait to get my children out of this school next year.

I have grandchildren in this school and the experience has been very upsetting and frustrating. My granddaughter went from an A student to an F student in math in one short year. Her teacher was out sick most of the time and the subs obviously did not do their job. Look at the test scores and stats for this school compared to the state average I believe it says it all. I do not feel the children are getting a good education here and will be happy to see them go to another school next year.

My son has been going here since 1st grade. Not impressed! First grade teacher was out quite a bit and class was taught my subs. Fourth grade teacher worried more about how she looked on scores and yelled at class quite often.

This is my grandson's second year at Kay Carl and I am very happy with the treatment he receives from the faculty and many of them call him by name. He loves school and his teachers. The PTA is great in sponsoring affordable fundraisers and programs to keep the kids involved. I have a choice to place him in a private school but prefer Kay Carl.

We have had nothing but problems with this school since the prior principal left and took all the great teachers with her. This past year my sons 5th grade class had no teacher for 1/2 a year only a mean substitute who always threatened to leave them because he wasn't paid enough for the "bother."

My children have been attending Kay Carl for 3 years now and I am nothing but pleased. The school is always focused on academic improvements. They have afterschool fitness programs with a superstar PE teacher. Parent involvement is amazing and the PTA sponsors many reading programs teacher training and I could just go on. A Plus to the staff and Principal.
