I was at Anthony at the beginning of the school year to deliver flowers to my mom - it is her first year at Anthony. I was surprised at how friendly quiet and professional the atmosphere was. I noticed an extremely well dressed woman speaking to office personnel. I am glad to see that schools are getting back to the dressed up respectable matter of teaching and leading. Sorry folks but appearance does count. I was not surprised to later learn this woman was the head of the school a doctor. Good for Anthony!

My children both attend Anthony. The Staff involvement is the best I have seen at any school. My son has never been more excited about anything than being in YGLA. I've seen great improvement in him since he started thie program. Mr. Cannon is amazing with the these children and it's not just him. This extends to the rest of the staff. Most of the childern at this school come from broken homes and poverty but you would never be able to tell by the way they act at school. We live a block away from David Brewer but I wouldn't send my children anywhere but Anthony. I also love the diversity of the school. When I drop my children off at school I think of Martin Luther King's I have a Dream speech. I think he would be happy to see all the beautiful children.

I think that the YGA program is a good thing for these students and the honor guard is a wonderful tool to teach the students trust in each other discipline and a strong sense of self worth. The are an example that the other schools are attempting to emmulate. Good job to Mr. Riddle for teaching these kids. He is a father to all and a mentor to many.

Academically Anthony is number one in the county and in the top 10 in the state. All of the teachers and staff truly care about your child. Mr. Cannon has a YGA and YGA+ program that teaches kids what's important in life. Mrs. Kempker has the eat exercise and excel program which teaches the kids about eating healthy. It's a great school. I have 2 kids going there now and let me tell ya I wouldn't let them go any where else.
