WSE is a true gem and we are very happy with what we found. The teachers are incredibly friendly and willing and able to go above and beyond what is asked of them if it means that the well being of the children can be improved. Principal Hartman is absolutely amazing and a true leader for the school. She knows every child by name and always has a warm smile for everyone. Whenever faced with a problem be it in the school or with questions and concerns from parents she is more then willing to sit listen and provide you with multiple solutions to try and help out. We are very happy having found Western Salisbury Elementary and would highly recommend the school to anyone who is moving into this area!!! Thank you very much for welcoming us into your community!!

As a WSE parent and volunteer and as an employee in two area school districts I can say without hesitation that Western Salisbury Elementary School is the most nurturing most educationally exceptional and most family-oriented school I have encountered. Having moved here from Florida two years ago I immediately noticed the difference that exists at WSE in terms of a more challenging curriculum and higher standards of teaching. The instructional support staff is invaluable. Their individualized approach to educating our most special students instills a sense of caring and confidence in learning. The most superior teachers are those who inspire their students. I am happy to say that I witness this at WSE all the time.

I've heard it referred to as the areas ' private public school' and it certainly feels like it! Thanks to the small class size the children enjoy top notch education. The wonderful teachers and staff and strong parent involvement make for a warm learning environment. We're so proud to be a part of such a terrific school!

There is a huge bullying problem at this school and a completely Inadequate guidance department to address it. However the teachers and principal are wonderful.

Western Salisbury is a wonderful school. The staff at the school deserves 5 stars as well.My child started attending WSE about 1 year ago.I was looking for a community that is close nit and I found it here.I strongly believe in parent involvement. If you are looking to move into the area and are deciding what school to send you child I would highly recommend coming here. There is no need to consider charter or cyber schools if you live in the area. The PSSA scores speak volumes.

We moved here with our first child entering kindergarten! He is now in First grade our second children will be starting next year and we cannot be happier. This is an excellent school and the teachers and staff are wonderful!

After being in a very large school district for many years and then moving my children to a small district I was a bit concern . I was pleasantly surprized by the welcome we received and the intimate setting. When I go into the school all of the teachers/principal know everything about my children and even recognize me . We could not be happier.

I am a parent and a graduate of the district. I have the financial ability to choose any school district in our area or any private school. Yet there was never a doubt that my children would get the best education at Salisbury. Kindergarten was a great experience for my daughter. She is eagerly looking forward to first grade.
