Red Bank Elementary is a wonderful school so far......I love the partial immersion classes they offer....they have a great system in place to keep track of all students...from the bus car rider or pick up and drop off.........It is easy to talk to the teachers too.

I have two kids that go to school at Red Bank. Teachers are hard to work with. Employees are proud and arrogant. They can't figure out how to do anything right. Very displeased.

Lexington District One is the best district in the area and Red Bank Elementary is the best school in all of Lexington District One. I have had children at Gilbert Elementary and White Knoll Elementary and they are great schools too but RBE is the best! RBE has a Spanish Immersion program and RBE is the school in Lex. 1 that is the pilot for the RISC model a new way of teaching that engages the children-it's a revolutionary approach in which students are the navigators-it's really awesome. RBE also utilizes technology and integrates it into the learning process and they have a radio show that one of my daughter's is on. My oldest daughter has grown so much personally since she has been going to RBE. She has been on the A honor role every year since she began. I have never had one problem with any of her teachers and they are all very loving and caring. Once I did have another student bully my daughter and the assistant principal put a stop to it immediately. The principal is an excellent role model. This school is great!!!!

The Principal of this school is so consumed with her own image that she neglects the needs of the students and the desires of the Parents. They also overlook a lot of behavior problems at the expense of other children.

My grandchildren are having a great experience at this school. It has a very exciting and welcoming feeling when you walk in the door. The teachers are working hard to provide experiences that are interesting and exciting to promote learning.

I think Red Bank Elementary is a neighborhood school to be proud of. They have a super faculty and staff and they modify their teaching to best meet the needs of the children there. They have had a Spanish Immersion Program for the younger children and when I see the children coming home they look happy like they've had a happy day. I would not hesitate to send a child of ours to Red Bank Elementary if we had children. I taught for 25 years myself at a different school so I feel I am qualified to make judgements about another elementary school and I think that Red Bank Elementary is doing a superior job of teaching its students.

I had never heard very good things about the Red Bank area and was a little nervous when my son was going into 4k at RBE. We have now been at Red Bank for 3 years and I can't imagine being more pleased. The Teachers are so involved and caring! The Administrators are the best I have ever seen! We have never had even one problem. I have many friends who teach elementary schools in and out of the district and I can say Red Bank is one of the best. The school is very involved with the community and offers family nights at the school at least once a month where your whole family is welcome at the school for dinner and educational entertainment at no cost to the parents. I am extremely pleased!!

You couldn't get more loving and caring teachers than at this school. They really care and are concerned about the school.

Red Bank Elementary School is a great school. I was nervous about my child going there at first because I haven't heard much about it. But the teachers are great and love the students. You can tell they realy care and work hard to teach them. The Principals are great too they are very involved and concerned for the children. I've seen nothing wrong with the school unless it was something the dist. controled.

This school is one of the worst schools I've ever had to deal with. There are too many teachers who are tired of teaching and have become short tempered and lack any real passion about their jobs. Anything positive that they do at the school is more for show than for actually doing something positive for the kids. We are looking to move out of this school district as soon as possible.

Red Bank Elementary School is awesome! It is large enough to have talented and capable principles and teachers but not so large that your child feels lost in the crowd. My child feels loved and supported there and is able to grow in knowledge and spirit. My daughter is the 3rd child I have had at RBE. The school building is a little older than some but the people and community make up for the difference by far.

My child goes to RBE. She is in fifth grade this year. But the problem that the school has caused me to send her to another school out of the district to get the education she needed. The bullying problem is awful and no one wants to admit that there is a problem. Everyone is so worried about the kids doing well on the PACT test that they forget why we send our children their in the first place. I am not happy with the teachers their either my child had a problem with understanding what she reads. They are unwilling to try and help her. My brother went to school here years ago at that time it was a good school. I would not recommend this school to any one.

I am not very pleased with the school in some areas. We are new here about 8 months. They started at the end of March this past spring. I have 4 kids that go there now and I have only been pleased with 2. They do not control bullying well at all. And they tend not to let the student'being picked on' defend themselves or exlpain themselves to the teacher with fear of being told they are 'talking back'. I raise my children not to do that. But they tend to believe the bully and not here the other side. And there is not a lot of communication problems between parents and teachers. I have never had such a hard time trying to schedule a parent-teacher conference either very unorganized. If I wasn't moving to the other side of town this month I would pull them out asap.

Geat school full of great teachers and a great administration. The principal will always take the time to see you and make you feel important. I know that everyone in that school has my child's best interest at heart. The few students that seem to be the biggest problem are dealt with in immediately and in a fair and firm manner. Sometimes however the follow-up when the student gets home is not what it should be. No surprise there! I love this school!

I currently have three children at RBE.I have had nothing but a positive experience. All three of my children are A/B students and they enjoy going to school. We have had to report one bullying issue to the school officials and it was handled immediately. I maintain open communication with all of my children's teachers and principles by phone E-mail and classroom conferences. No school is perfect and parent involvement is key. My children are doing well at RBE because of the dedicated teachers and staff and the fact that we as parents are involved.

This is an excellent school with a lot of parent/community involvement. There is a small group of parents who would just love to run it their way...thus the negative comments. This school is up on technology. The kids use Smartboards writers computers etc. What parents fail to realize is that principals do not have the final say so in most circumstances regarding behavior. That comes from the guidelines by the district office which they must follow. Perhaps they should take their discipline complaints there.

I sent my son to RBE for one year. I was very unhappy with the school so I pulled him out. I wasn't impressed with the teachers or the administrators. Bright children will be very bored at this school. I agree with the review that said the school doesn't want to deal with bullies or behavior problems.

When my children started at RBE I had hopes of a great opportunity for them. My hopes were shattered by the administrators inability to control bullies and monitor school bus safety. I had to move my girls to WKE for their safety. When reported to the administration it was dismissed as 'rough play'. Teachers did not report incidents when the children reported it to them. A child cannot learn if they are afraid.

I am unfortunatly a parent of a student at RBE. If I didn't love where I live and lived here all my life I would move solely on the premise to get my child into another school. The students per class is not 15. Our teacher is fantastic about the only good thing I can say. The administration over all is bad bad bad. I have made many attempts to contact them on different issues and have been basically brushed aside when answered at all. There is no desire to improve. Thank god I have time to invest in my child because RBE as a school does not.

This web site is wrong. The number of children that are in a normal sized class at this school is twenty five children per class. This does not mean that there are classes with no more than twenty five. One kindergarten class had twenty eight chidlren in it last year. Sounds like they need to stop using the 'spare rooms' which happen to be class rooms for nothing but adding more teachers and more spaces for our children.
