I love the teachers both of my children have had there at Annette Winn. The faculty is very caring and attentive as well. I believe the test scores of the students have been improving year over year. A challenge and benefit Annette Winn has is being a "Title 1" school. It's great that they receive additional federal funding due to 50% or greater students' families receiving government hand outs of some sort but it also seems to contribute to less parental involvement too. I see the samehandful of parents at all of the activities - where are the rest of the parents?? All-in-all I'm pleased with this school and it's faculty. It's better than I would expect for this area to tell you the truth.

My son went to this school back in 1990 and the test scores were so much higher. What can we do as a community to increase our test scores? My grandson will attend Annette Winn this year and I would love so much to see learning increased. Don't pass the students by let's get them above average. Cobb County daycares (preschool) are reading on a 1st & 2nd grade average. Flash cards phonics - evaluation on where the student is today and working with them one hour a day (one on one) to get them above average.

My child has been in a very good environment. The teachers are wonderful caring and safety is taken seriously. They also make an effort to include parents who speak only spanish in all activities. Children are treated with respect. I am very happy with the school!

School officials there don't have any type of assessessment program to determine proper placement for children.

Parents should be held accountable for their children's actions. Children are individuals. The school should conform to them rather than the school expect all children to perform on the same level on their terms. You never know from what environment our children come. Warmth food and a smile at the school may be all they ever get. Let's get personal! There's more to school than learning.

Don't always judge a school by its test scores. For the last five years my child has been educated in a safe envioronment by well educated instructors that truly care about the students. My son is well prepared for middle school because of th foundation he has gotten at Annette Winn. I am a proud of Annette Winn Elem. School & of couse of my son!
