I absolutely love being a part of the family at UGE. Not only is the staff a big family but we love our UGE students and parents. We have great support from them and the community. I have two children who also attend UGE. They are extremely happy there as well. Leadership is outstanding!

UGE is a family. The staff works together to meet the needs of the students. They truly care about each and want the best for each other. Each grade level plans together to make sure students are getting the best education possible. Ms. Wilson supports our faculty with a gentle hand. She expects us to do our job but doesn't make us all do the same thing. She understands different students need different things. I have worked with Ms. Wilson for over 15 years and would not want to work under any other leader!

We love our students and their families and do all in our power to ensure the success of EACH student!

All I have to say is that my 3 kids have gone to that school since kindergarten. First off let me just say for the record that they are not white and have never been mistreated or neglected. The staff is caring and attentive. The school makes every effort for parents to get involved and to get to know not only the students but the parents as well. My youngest daughter still attends the school and loves it. The staffs goes above and beyond to take care of all the children and communication with them is easy; not only that the school website has a lot of information and unlike some schools have the faculty emails so you can contact them without going to the school. The teachers especially Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Fitz are awesome. Academically they do everything to help kids surpass their goals and achievements from having advanced placement classes to extra assistance if a child needs it. Over all I rate it a 5 star school.

Excellent school with teachers that care about each child's development. The principals are very good and the staff is involved.

This school is not a good school for people of color. The long car riders line is a joke. This school is real is a hot mess. Do not let people fool you that this is a good school. That is a code they use. Beware of this school! I was very disappointed in this school the way they treat kids.

Unity Grove is an AMAZING school. I read the last posts before you parents disagree why don't you look at the REAL problem...it has NOTHING to do with the teachers but everything to do with the GPS(Georgia Preformance Standards) We have amazing teachers that work extremely hard. It is not the fault of the teachers but of the fault of taking the fun out of teaching. Every teacher at Unity Grove LOVES each and every child as if they were their own. Do you really think paper work is fun?? Before it was "teach the way the child learns" Now it is "whatever if they don't get it you need to move on" post this standard..that standard...do this do that" Teacher's are under so much stress it is impossible at times to keep up. We feel like robots. So instead of harshly degrading our amazing staff why don't you look "outside the box" There is NOT one staff member that does not love our children! We try and try hard as for a staff member being rude...please tell your story there is always two sides to every story then there is the truth.

This is our first year at UGE and I have not been impressed at all. In fact I feel quite deceived. At open house the staff was nice and courteous but how that changed since the first day of school. Teachers and administrators are rude and do very little to rectify any situation. School is over-crowded and student to teacher ratio is ridiculous. We have other schools in the same city that have very low enrollment. This rezoning was one of the decisions made by the BOE that I will never understand.

My children have been going there for 3 years now.. They have been struggling they go from one subject to another before the first one is mastered or even understood. The teachers are rude and so is the office staff. The staff and the parents act as though they above you. I can not wait until my children can go to an accepting school. The staff and parents make it hard to get involved and volunteer to help. I'm very dissatisfied.

My son has been going to Unity Grove for 4 years now and we love it!! His Third grade teacher Mrs. Roberson is the bomb. My son will have to agree. Im excited for my younger son to start next year.

My grandaughter has been at this school for two years and they have taught her so much. She scored in the 99 percent in the nation on her test scores and is doing fantastic. We couldn't be more pleased.

Thank God for rezoning. My daughter attended Unity Grove her Kindergarten and 1st grade year before she was rezoned to New Hope. As an involved parent it is very difficult to deal with rude/nasty teachers and office staff. There was not enough diversity in the school during the time my daughter was there and it really showed. I would like to think it has changed but from what I hear there seems to be a lot of prejudice in that school and it is something I don't want my daughter to be apart of. On a happy note New Hope rocks!!!!

Unity Grove is the best school that I have ever been a part of. The staff is excellent and the leadership of our administration is outstanding! Most parents are supportative and appreciative. Also the majority of our students enjoy learning and make being a teacher an enjoyable job. Thanks Unity Grove for an awesome 5 years.

i think this school is great. we came from BUTTS county which is the worst shool system .

The kids don't want to go to school & the parents don't want to deal with it. My child has been able to keep up an 'A' average but it's all his own doing. He has been given no support or recognition for his hard work. Two more months and we're outta here.

Discourteous staff. Unity Grove has the lowest 2005 attendance rating in Henry County.
