California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

my son started this class in grade 6 when there was only grade six and seven and it was a fresh new school still renting from the Boys and Girls Club. The teachers there took the time for each student We were excited that he had a chance to be one of the second graduates of this school at that point. Everything is going great my son has learned a lot. The principal works with each child as if it was a one on one school she is fantastic! she sees a potential in each and every child enters enough to learn the name of each and every child. needless to say all the grades filled up so it goes from a 6th 7th 8th then they culminate. the school is so caring and it has so much potential I started my younger son in at 6 grade as well. this principle find a teaching experience and everything to serve our children very well

Wonderful school!. I like the small school atmosphere. Great teachers and principal. My son is in 6th grade. Recommend this school. API score increased a lot in the last two years. I was surprised. However it soon became obvious that the school is a very tight knit community. My son has enjoyed every minute of his experience at this school.
