California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

ELARA IS MY WORST NIGHTMARE AND TO TOP IT OFF. THEY WILL NOT LET ME TRANSFER MY STUDENT OUT OF THERE. SOOO GLAD MS.G IS LEAVING GOD BE WITH THE NEW SCHOOL SHE IS GOING TO BE AT. I CAN TELL YOU STORIES ABOUT STUDENT BULLIES AND TEACHER BULLIES. THE ONLY GOOD THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ELARA IS THE PRINCIPAL MR.G

This is an amazing small school. The best thing I did for myself was move from Garfield HS where every student was a stranger to one another and to the teachers. In this school you get more one to one attention from the teachers and at the same time get to know more of your peers. Academic classes are great; all teachers know there material very well and have great tactics to help their students learn. It even helps you get internship opportunities and has a lot of partnerships. I love this school.
