Academically I am pleased with this school. There is a great office staff very helpful and very profesional. The one problem I find with this school is the after school program. Every time I go to pick up my daughter there are many kids running around out of control. The staff can't seem to control them. More than once I have been pushed or shoved by a student.

Figueroa has made a lot of progress in the past few years as shown by CAT 6 and CST scores. A huge change occured this year when they switched from a multi-track to a single-track calendar. A music teacher is on campus twice per week an art teacher twice per week and they have a full time nurse resource teacher and pyschologist. They do not have a P.E. teacher but some sports are available in the after-school program. Parental involvment is fairly low but improving although there still is no PTA.
