While the school is average in its presentation and education standards it FAILS horribly when it comes to its student performances and parent education. My daughter just finished 6th grade and is in beginners band. I have attended her performances and every single time you have some ladies in the middle of the auditorium selling food and drinks. adult and children walking back and forth all a while the band is performing. That just does a total lack of respect towards the performers and staff. It also shoes a total lack of common sense and education on the part of the ignorant parents that walk around and or allure their children to do the same.

I'm a student at this middle school and it is just great . This school you can meet good people and great teachers. There is hardly any drama in this school and they really give you advice for high school and colleges; the counselors and teachers care about you and its fun .

this is a good school however would be better for our children parents and teachers to have that same system my niece has at her magnet school where all class activities in each subject is given via email percentages and attendance and missing assignments and where working parents can check and be more involved in whats going on with their childrens school work and grades rather than waiting till the next report card when its too late to make up or do something about it. i think this would help soo much to build a better cloaser relationship with everyone concerning their child.

Teachers at Le Conte are exceptional! They have a great reading program with a well-stocked library and skillful librarian. There are numerous computer labs and students have a lot of opportunities to participate in extracuricular activities. I highly recommend this school!

Le Conte has great teachers but limited resources and too many children from homes where fights and gang involvement is normal. There is no parental involvement and few activities. Teachers are very good at what they do but the students make it next to impossible to feel safe and learn.

I personally think that leconte is a very good school with discipline homework call in great academic school work and great smart influential teachers. My son loves this school and wouldn't go to any other jr high school. He's learned so much and his test scores are very high from were it used to be.I would definently refer this school to anyone who's looking for a magnet or public school of choice. thanks.

This is actually not a bad school the magnet isn't really that good A-track is the same or better. There are rarely fights teachers like Ms.Brown Mr.Hanrahan and Mr.Paivannas are just a few of the great teachers. It's way better than neighboring schools like Virgil & Bancroft.
