I went to this school from sixth to eighth grade and am in the class of 2012. I couldn't be happier with this school. The teachers are awesome the programs are great the campus is beautiful and the kids are the best. I don't know anyone who went to the school and wasn't happy with it. They have an award winning PE program and many programs such as Valley Enviormental Academy AVID honors math/science magnet. Test scores keep going up for th entire school. Like in 2011 the magnet scored over 900 in the CST's. I highly recommend this school for anyone.

Wonderful school Wonderful people...under-rated. I hope LAUSD allows them to remain strong. Parents need to be more involved. Good role models can not just be the teachers;it is the parent's responsibility to guide their children. It all starts in the home.

I love the change of demeanor from the top with our new principal from last many years to this. Thanks to Mr. Del Cueto!

I think this school is a good school for all kids. My daughter went to this school and she was a very happy child. I constantly checked with her teachers to make sure and kept getting updated. I think that as a parent we all need to make contact with our child's teachers.

My son was in the honors program and I was impressed with most of the teachers the low crime and the upbeat lunch time music! My daughter is to be a student in the fall of 2007.

Great school with supportive and dedicated teachers! I have been a member of the faculty for many years and there has always been one constant - kids first. Van Nuys Middle School is a wonderful place to learn!

My daughter attended this school and I found overall my daughter's education was sub-standard. The after-school KYDS program was great.

this school offers best teachers lots of activities students and etc. I really recommend this school. It has 90% many hispanics so some parents think it's not a good school but it is a good school and you should concern about putting your child to this school.

My daughter has been going to this school for 3 years now. She is graduating this year. She has met the best kids you can imagine. She is part of their family now and the prinicipal knows her by name. When she first started attending there every morning the prinicpal would be in front of the school greeting the students as a parent I loved that! Their honors program has magnificent teachers who truly care about the progress of their students and the mainstream teachers are just as dedicated! This school is the best kept secret in the San Fernando Valley! In the beginning many of my daughters friends chose not to have their children attend because of their own biases I however am acutely aware of the diversity of the population in the LA area and tehrefore was not detoured by bias from sending my child there! Thankfully my instincts were correct and her experience there has been very positive! Contrary to popular thought this school is not overrun by bad kids! The children here are gems! They shine through their kindness and achievements! Walk around on campus and go meet the kids! They are respectful productive intelligent children!
