My children have attended Trevilians Elementary and I must say I am apauled by the lack of professionalism from teachers are this school. My current student at this school is constantly critiqued and picked on by teachers as well as other students. I recently witnessed the bullying issue which happened right in from of me. The school does nothing about it and the current teachers just continue to snicker behind people's backs and attempt to embarrass people to make themselves look good. This school needs a thorough housecleaning effort to remove these problem teachers. I plea to all other parents out there if you are able to take your child to another school please do so!

BEWARE!!! Bullying is a very real and dangerous problem at this school. My children are not fighters nor should they need to be. When they asked for help they were "tattling". I went to the principal and even higher but nothing changed. Finally I had to pull both of my children out because they just weren't safe attending this school. One particular bully even shoved my daughter's desk into her ribs leaving her bruised. When she cried and asked the teacher to help her the teacher told her she was "tattling again" and if she wasn't bleeding then she wasn't really hurt.

I am a parent of two kids at Trevelian elementary school. This is the first year in which i feel an elementary atmosphere in the school. I volunteer (not as much as i would like to) and I agree with a previous post about how positive Mrs. Hutson is with the teachers and students. My two just love her and the teachers are always talking about what a change she has brought. As for the vice principal I have not had any interactions with her but my two are not fond of her for whatever reason and say they never see her. As for the teachers I am super happy with them and haven't seen them this happy in years. I have noticed a focus on parent and teacher communication this year. The school food is pretty good too my kids say. Trevelians is finally going places

I have been a teacher at TES for many years. We have a very dedicated staff who work hard for the students and school. Unfortunately we have been lacking good leadership over the past couple of years but I do believe our new Principal Mrs. H. has the vision and leadership to take TES to the next level. It is nice to get positive remarks from our leader and the encouragement to continue meeting the needs of the students. I also believe it was important to get a new Assistant Principal Mrs. A. this year that is familiar with the 21st century our former was nice but time to go. My colleagues are the best teachers in the county.

After 6 yrs I am proud to say I am by far more proud of this school then ever before. With this past yr brining in a brand new principle I have seen many new and wonderful changes. TES Is DEF now on a better track then ever before and I can not ewait to see exactly where it takes the students. I am looking forward to this new school yr as it looks to be an incrediably promising one!

Trevilian's Elementary School is one of the best school's in the county. Specifically because the faculty is involved in and around my two daughters growth and development. I was originally very nervous about our children attending a school which didn't have the best track record however it is evident that this school is on the fast track to high learning in education and truly cares about our kids educational future. I am proud that my kids attend Trevilians.

My daughter has been attending this school for 4 years now. She has come a long way and has grown into the young person she is now. I believe the Title 1 program is a heaven send for children how have a bit of a hard time with reading. The teacher's are very easy to deal with and are willing to work hand in hand with parents in a common goal to helping the child achieve their greatest potential everyday. This year (2004) I have a second child attending TES. I look forward to watching him grown into a wonderful person willing to reach for every star within his reach.
