I have a daughter at St T's and my son went on to BLS when he left St T's. This school was the only choice for us. Not only was it our neighborhood school it was the best choice for our family. They have the curriculum the teachers the families the extra curricular activities and the community that any family would find welcoming. I know that my kids have always been in a safe happy place every day we dropped them off and they have made friends for life at this school. Both children have and are continuing to get the best education they can.

My daughter will be entering 3rd grade my son 6th grade this coming year. Our experience has been fantastic. We chose this school for its strong foundation in academics as well as the religious aspect. We went to Catholic schools and St. Theresa's provides my kids with the strong fundamentals they will practice throughout their lives. The teachers are great and really care about each individual in their class. I am glad to see my kids happy when I drop them off at school they look forward to being there with their friends. We live in Dedham and the sense of community at our school is overwhelming! From the events held at school basketball everyone pitches in we always come together as a great community. My kids fit we fit it is just right!

My son has been at St. Theresa's for seven years now. September 2012 will start his last year there. I am going to be heartbroken when he has to leave. I have never felt more safe and confident every day that I drop him off there. The sense of community in the school is amazing. It is wonderful to see parents completely involved with their children regarding education. The school has been doing a lot to keep up and surpass other schools with their curriculum. I feel very confident that he is getting the type of education that is the foundation for great things in his future. I have nothing but great things to say about the experiences my family has had with St. Theresa School. The support that was offered to us when it was needed was something I will never forget.

As of the 2012 - 2013 school year St. Theresa School will be a ECP (Age 3) - Grade 6 Elementary School. St. Theresa has an amazing staff of teachers and administrative staff. St. Theresa's school is fortunate enough to have expectional families who make up our St. T's community.

My two daughters go to St. Theresa School and it is excellent for them both. The school is great with academics and with socializing. Every student is welcome and is able to fit in with the other children. St. Theresa school makes sure all children are treated fairly and they give disipine if they need and that really teaches that student a lesson. Also St. Theresa get students prepared for other schools with excellence. The students at St. Theresa's are excepted to wonderful schools. Such as Boston Latin School Boston Latin Academy Nobles and Greenough Southfield School Roxbury Latin Ursline Mount Alvernia CM Belmont Hill also other schools as well. I went to Saint Theresa as a young girl as well and I am a very happy person

St. Theresa School really needs to modernize and hire new administration and faculty. They are way too far behind the times. The principal is against new ideas or only takes them from certain parents. They have allowed bullying to go on. I would not recommend this school to anyone . The class sizes are way too big in k1 and k2 because the principal will not hire aides. Theteachers are very accommodating and nice people overall. You can see that they are not listened to either.

St. T's is a great school. My family is very happy with the choice we made. I find it to be a very safe and comfortable environment. The principal is very down to earth and easy to get along with. The teachers are easy to reach out to. My son and daughter are both happy and excelling there.

I have had all three of my children attend St T's. I am very happy with my choice. It is a wonderful school that is nurturing and caring. I have a son who suffers migraines and from the Principal Mrs. Gibbons to the nurses to the woman in the front office could not have been nicer and more caring. My son is moving on to an exam school this year and I feel a loss for him as well as myself. My older son has gotten into an exam school and doing well in my opinion because of St.T's and the wonderful teachers and staff. My daughter will be the last one left there and I would never choice a different school for my family. This school was the foundation for the success that I hope they will have one day. I have nothing but praise for this school.

My 2 daughters went to St. T's. I really liked the lower grades great teachers and very nuturing. The upper grades (4 and above) I thought just taught to the average student. They just couldn't teach to the advanced children...not because they didn't know how...the classes are just too large. I pulled my girls out because of this. If I am paying tution I think they should be able to teach to everyone. I really enjoyed the school but it does need some updating.

St. Theresa school has many improvements to make. I would not choose it for my child. The K2 classes are way too big. The average is 25-30 children with no aide. The K1 also has way too many kids. Many of the upper grade teachers really need to retire. They have no idea of modern day teaching. The principal is out of control. She has no Vice-Principal. She basically says one thing and does the other. The pta is non -existant. The group has no order. They say they do this to have eveyone involved. This is untrue.

I am a parent and all three of my children attend at one time attended the school. My oldest son has gotten into his choice of school that we wanted and too the Boston Exam schools test and did very well. I love St T's for its academic structure and the wonderful teacher and parent relationships. It is a small school with a big rewards. I would recommend anyone to place their child there. I still have 2 children there and would not dream of them in any other school. The principal is Mrs. Gibbons is wonderful.

We are very happy we chose St. Theresa School. It is a safe and nurturing environment . The teachers are extremely dedicated and always helpful to EVERY student regardless of academic level. There are many planned family activities throughout the year. St. Theresa's is not only a school but a community.

We are very happy with St Thersa school. It has been a strong part of the community for many years. My brothers sister and I all graduated from there. I am happy to send my children there. They are being provided with the strong academic foundation they need to succeed. They are also being taught the imortance of being well rounded by being involved in the numerous after school activities such as choir and drama. The school also emphasizes the importance of charity helping out local charities in many ways. We feel strongly we made the right decision when we chose St Theresa School.

Regarding academics this school does very well with students who are at grade level. If your child performs below level there are a few patient understanding teachers. There is not much of a lunch menu variety no spring uniform no 1/2 day preschool and most importantly no aides in k-1. Aides would help with those students who need a bit of extra help.

In terms of the academics they do well with the lower grades. There is a safe environment and various activities throughout the year. However there is a close knit and controlled PTA. Many parents have said they do not feel welcomed. New ideas and new voices keep things vibrant. The school can and should work on this.

This is a great school. My son has been going to this school for 5 years and he has had a great time. They are very nice at the school the teachers are great and they are always trying hard to teach the kids what they need to know.

I was so thrilled when I received the call that my daughter was accepted to St. Theresa School. She began her education there in K-2. Since then I have watched her learn and grow into the young lady I want her to be. She has had such wonderful caring teachers throughout each grade at St. T's and I have been only thrilled with the education that she receives. She has excelled in her subjects and enjoys the more challenging ones. St. Theresa's has definitely given my daughter the skills she needs to be a great student and hopefully a great leader someday. Yes the school goes through changes but change is always good and St. T's knows how to grow with the increasing class sizes and times. Thank you so much for providing a safe nurturing spiritual and educational environment for my daughter.

In perusing your site I would like to comment. As a parent and educator my husband and I chose St. Theresa School for our family. This school has a strong Catholic identity. It reinforces the values that our family practices. My children have received an excellent education at St. Theresa School. Character development and academic achievement has provided them with the best options for further education. In their pursuit of higher education they have been provided with choices for and are achieving success. Our family credits the strong academics caring faculty and all connected with St. Theresa School for our children's success.

I have been involved at St Theresa's of Avila School since my daughter was in K1 she now is in 3rd grade & my second child will be starting K1 this fall. We could not be happier! St Theresa's is a wonderful school in every respect. The teachers are warm & caring & love what they do. The class curriculum is challenging. They offer gym art Spanish music and computer. The PTA arrange wonderful successful events for the children & families. My daughter is an A student & loves going to school every day! We do not live in the greater Boston area I choose to attend St Theresa's school! It is the children faculty and families that make St Theresa's such a wonderful place! I would highly recommend St Theresa's to anyone who is interested in Catholic School. The Kearney Family
