Stockdill Scheitzer and Kost gave great attention to the additional needs of one of my 2nd graders - really appreciated this. Drawbacks (don't know whether particular to L&C or all public schools) don't say Pledge of Allegiance in 1st or 2nd grades; and first graders make witches at Halloween but aren't allowed to draw a baby in a manger at Christmas.
