California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

My son attends this school. He is very happy with the teachers and student body. I am disappointed with the Great School Rating. Frankly given the caring attitude of the teachers I am surprised the rating is not better.

My daughter has attended here for the past three years and will graduate in 2012 and she loves it...both the principal and vic pincipal are outstanding as well as their staff. The school has challenging academic programs which I love about it. My daughter takes real pride of her school she's in leadership NCBI ect. Oh and she is also on the softball team which is on their second year...Go Mariners!!!

This town deserves a great high school for the diverse and friendly people who live here. It's not a wealthy community but has talented and lovely people who work hard and want the best for their children.

The energy and pride of the students faculty and families is inspiring. It is a new high school and the FIRST high school in our town!

This is the second year of the high school. Even though it is small the students here have a great sense of family. The teachers know all the students and act not only as teachers but often mentors.
