We've only been here about 3 months but being a military family my kids have attended A LOT of schools over the last 15 years. This is by far one of the best middle school experiences. The teachers are involved and proud of their school. My son loves it. The administration and teachers still make learning fun for the students by doing lots of after school field trips and several trips out of town to the Outerbanks Gettysburg DC. Furthermore the school district has embraced the future and brought in online learning for those courses not offered by the brick and mortar classrooms on campus. I have a great feeling about the next few years!

Awesome school.... I will be going into my last year here at east and i do not regret going here. Teachers really care about students and want us to do good. We play hard sometimes and we also work hard..
My daughter'as first year and she had a great. Mrs. Pearson Mrs. Gibson and Mr. Slagle are great administrator.
I have my second child going thru East and have nothing but great things to say about this school. We have the most caring staff from the Principal right down to the janitors! We live on the line between East and West and I never thought twice about sending them to East. My daughter is now at the High School and actually misses the East Mcdowell! Thanks for all your hard work Mrs. Guthrie and all the excellent teachers we have at our school!
