My child was bullied and made to feel that they were imagining what was happening to them & made so miserable at SJA would frequently ask to stay home sick. When asked to describe the time spent at SJA Bad. Very very bad actually torture was the reply. The only bright spot in two years there was the 1st Grade teacher who was truly a beautiful christian lady. Unfortunately for SJA that teacher has retired. Leaving 2nd Grade my child was significantly delayed academically. After moving her from SJA much of the delay was able to be made up and left 3rd Grade on grade level. I was raised catholic. My parents were founders of the SJA Parish. I believed that SJA would be a nurturing loving environment. I feel ashamed and deeply regret the 2 years spent there.

My children have been at this school for the last 16 years. The academic program is excellent and the teachers are very committed. The principal is superb and has been at the school for over 15 years. There is art music Spanish physical Education computer technology. Extracurricular activities include student council yearbook committee soccer basketball softball and cheerleading. The parent involvement at St. Joan of Arc is extremely high.
I have 2 children in St. Joan's and a third will be there in another 1 1/2 years. It is one of the best decisions we have ever made. Every time I have come into the school I have always felt at home. The halls are clean student work is always proudly displayed and learning is always happening. We are up to 4th grade now and have not had a teacher yet who did not show care and concern for our children's educational and social needs. We love the emphasis on brain compatibility and learning the plays and musicals which involve all students the special area classes they receive the emphasis on learning the basics before moving on and of course the fact that morality and religion are a part of every day life! We are confident our children will be more then prepared for high school and beyond!!
Excellent school you get what you pay for and not many schools could provide our children with the values and religious learning that SJA can. It is a matter or preference but I love that my child spends his learning week with the children of parents who share my beliefs. Environment is everything and I appreciate that my child is in a Catholic learning center.
The combination of academic excellence AND a small loving environment makes St. Joan of Arc the perfect school. The school's abililty to nurture and shelter while providing a top-notch education is why my third child will be starting kindergarten in the fall!
