Not so good. Before moving hear I heard this school is best. But personally I dont feel that way. Teachers and staff are not so co operative. I have moved three diff state my son was in middletown school earlier which was really good school. In compare to that this school is not so good. Also teaching was great in Middletown than this school. I may be just me because I have experience with Middletown school. But one thing I am sure it snot so good rating so as per my personal opinion its average school.

We have been very happy with Westgate. It has an active engaged administration diverse student body and fantastic teachers. The students really embody the community spirit. So many students place into AAP that there are tentative plans to make Westgate an AAP center. The 2013 renovation is an added bonus. If you want your child to be involved in an enriched curriculum and be part of a culturally and socioeconomically diverse student body then this school is a nice fit.

Excellent school and staff only problem is there is no bus service for Pimmit Hill residents older kids can walk but for kindergartners is a challenge. Planned rennovation hopefully will make it spacious and provide more parking.

My son studying in this school since 1 year. Westgate has good teachers administrative staff and well designed educational programs which providing excellent knowledge and behavior in kids. We are observing lots of improvements in my child Which really making us happy. All these are possible because of teachers' hard work and principal efforts.

The teachers are excellent here and my daughter has excelled immensely while completing her kindergarten and 1st grade year with them. The teachers are very hardworking and the principal and office staff are wonderful. It's an excellent school!

The teachers are hardworking. A lot of staff turnover has happened recently but I know all the teachers that are still there from previous years are strong leaders. My child especially loved her first and second grade teachers.

A small school that is getting bigger yet the teachers are amazing. Awarded with Governor's Excellence Award 2 consecutive years now and continously produce productive kids. It always reaches to the community and in return gets community volunteers to support them. I love being a volunteer in this school and at the same time I'm sad because my kid who started kinder here is graduating this year as a 6th grader.

Westgate has great teachers and staff who really care about the kids. My son has transitioned very well to this school after his Montessori experience. We just wish they had more resources so they could really soar. Thank you Westgate!

We moved from Florida to VA and this school is really great. Teacher are very helpful. Only for advanced programs needs to be organized well.

I have had my children attend Westgate for the last 6 years. I am currently looking for a bigger home yet am not eager to move away from this remarkable school. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this school. The teachers are caring and have the most wonderful philosophies. The principal and vice principal know all of the kids names and faces. They work hard to keep this a 'family school' The PTA puts on great family activities!

We love this school. The teachers are caring and conscientious. The class sizes are small. The administration listens to parents' concerns and follows up on any issues immediately. It is a neighborhood school with children from diverse backgrounds. The principal knows every child's name. We've had our children in expensive private schools that are not as good as this school. Our children love having friends from so many different cultures. The teachers continue to care about your children even when they've moved up to other grades. This school is a gem in the Fairfax County district. It just has a good 'family' feel.

My son is in school for about two years. So far I found the teachers to be very dedicated competent and considerate in every way. I'm glad we were fortunate to have this school in our neighborhood. Though we need to buy a house and move away losing this school has become a factor in slowing that process down.

This small school lacks the resources to work totally successfully with the increasing population size and diversity of students in this district. The special ed program is one more of isolation than inclusion. However they do a decent job with what they've got. There could be better communication between the staff and the parents.

I can't say enough good things about this school! Both of my kids have attended Westgate from Kindergarten through 6th grade. At every level they have had enthusiastic competent and caring teachers. The school is one of the smallest Fairfax County which gives teachers and administrators the chance to know every child by name and to develop with them the kinds of relationships that promote good learning and a positive self-concept. While it is not a school with rich parents the PTA is very involved and provides children with a rich variety of after-school learning opportunities and outlets for family fun and involvement. This is a truly great place for children.

Great School! As you know the teacher really makes the difference. So far this year its great. Our child is advanced in Math and English and they have identified it and have created a program for him. Although it is nestled in McLean VA the majority of students seem to be a bit lower income that the general population probably coming from surrounding apartments. the area is know for many consultants and contingent workers. Many of the children are from ethnic baackgrounds which we really enjoy and glad our kid gets exposed to other cultures.
