Standards of Learning End-of-Course (SOLEOC)

In 2011-2012 Virginia used the Standards of Learning (SOL) End-of-Course tests to assess students in reading, writing, math, science and history/social science subjects at the end of each course, regardless of the student's grade level. The SOL End-of-Course tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Virginia. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

I am a current student at Hanover High (Freshman) and I love it! Way better than I Imagined! The teachers and classes are good along with lunches. There are so many great people and teachers who would love to make you feel welcome. Heck I already have made 4 new friends this year and I'm a little Freshman. If you are looking for a new school (personally) I highly recomend this one! I'll be glad to become your friend! D

I have a daughter who is currently a junior and absolutely loves it. The student body appears to be a tight-knit group atmosphere is positive athletic dept. is competitive the teachers are wonderful and the staff members are very helpful! There's a bonus with the addition of a vocational study.

I have a handicapped child in this school. The experience has been excellent. The handicapped and the typical students benefit from lots of exposure to each other. We have a very broad minded group of students as a result.
