This School is awesome! It has a very nice family feeling. The Principal is "on duty" 24/7. The teachers are great very caring and well prepared. The PTA is amazing! All the Staff is great except for one lady at the Cafeteria. (She is always yelling at the kids and blowing a whistle as mad) It hard at the beginning but at the end of the day most kids learn to ignore her Thanks David Fairchild for being a nice place for our kids to grow!

We love this school! My daughter is thriving as a new 2nd grader. The principal is very hands on faculty and staff across the board are professional and very caring. It has a private school feel at a public school cost small so tight knit community organized and active PTA and overall a wonderful place for children.

I went to David Fairchild in the early seventies. Back when us kids where droped off right in front of the school. No fences no cops. just a beautiful little school. If anyone remembers Mrs. Hammond as the principal. Very classy lady. Even I as a kid noticed that. Fond memories. Will live in me for a life time.

Fantastic school. I went there as a kid and i had such fond memories. My kids were struggling at Ludlam with fights bullying and lack of learning. I got fed up and we moved specifically to this area because of David Fairchild Elementry. My Daughter has excelled and is now going to a magnet program next year for 6th grade and my son (3rd grade)who was reading at a first grade level at the start of the year has caught up. Best school in Miami. A private school environment w/o the cost.

I've had 2 kids go to the school and cannot wait for the 3rd to start next year. Principal and teachers are excellent. 100% parent involvement. Best kept secret of the public school system. Should be rated a 10

This is a 'great little school.' With a student body of only about 500 this school has managed to keep an A rating for over 5 years consecutively. The principal is great very approachable and attentive to the needs of the students. The academic programs are solid R-R-R no nonsense newfangled stuff just solid basic educational material. There are many educational enrichment programs though such as chess martial arts ballet and acting offered as extra-curricular activities for a nominal fee. Some of the buildings are getting a little old however new buildings are being erected and the older one are kept neat and clean. The student body has a good mix consistent with the surrounding community. Our son has enjoyed going to school there. We only hope that his middle school is as good as his elementary school was.

David Fairchild is an excellent small town style school. What's great about FAirchild is the level of parental involvement. They also have a program where there is one class per grade that gets additional spanish instruction per day. This class is limited to students who show academic abilities that will allow them to keep up with an accelerated curriculum as well as the spanish add on.

David Fairchild Elementary is a rare gem in the maze of todays public schools. Small in size but big on quality this school under the leadership of its present priciplal Mr. Kinney has achieved a degree of quality only barely matched by some of the more expensive local private schools. The emphasis is on basic academics. The 3 R's are greatly stressed without sacrificing other subjects like science social studies music and the arts. The school offers many extra curricular activities from chess classes ballet karate etc. The campus is safe and well kept. This little school was a God send to us for our son.

I love this school! It is a welcoming environment where parents are encouraged to be part of the learning process. The administration is as helpful as can be and it's obvious their main concern is the safety and education of our children. I would recommend it to anyone without a doubt!

So far so good! We are not very far into the school year but so far I have been very impressed with my child's teacher and the programs offered at David Fairchild. There also seems to be a lot of parent involvement.
