This is a horrible school. It is overcrowded and it is poorly run. Much of this has to do with it being part of a school district with a low budget. The staff and vice principal are very unhelpful although the new principal is good. The kids here are horrible. I'm pulling my daughter out of this school district and moving to another school district.

My daughter is in 7th grade at this School. She had a health issue that needed special attention from the school staff. I sent an email to the principal explaining her problem and asking for special accommodation. I was surprised the principal immediately took an action he answered right away letting me know the counselor would take care of the special request. I was amazed that counselor/staff/teachers involved worked together to give a solution and at the same day I was called to the school and everything was accommodated. My daughter loves this school. She loves all her teachers. Everyone in this school is kind and welcome parents and students. Congratulations to everyone who work hard to make this school pleasant to everybody.

This school is a lot better than last year. I'm so glad the Vice Principal Trisha Lee is gone. I feel bad for the school see works at . She does not know what she is doing & does not work well with students staff & parents.

Some teachers were mean but over all it's a really good school with fun activities and nice people I enjoyed this school very much ^_^

I really did not enjoy my two years of school here. The principal and vice principal have got to be the worst! As well as some of the teachers. One teacher I had always yelled at me and as well as other students for no reason! One of them did not even let me go to the bathroom due to the fact that he believed that I would not be able to learn anything if I went for a bathroom break.

It think this school is terrible. I am looking forward to high school next year to get out of this one. The teachers are ok but the principle and vice principle are terrible and unhelpful.

This school gets way too over competitive over the smallest things including competitions against other schools. On the contrary most of the students know how to respect others during gatherings or competitions.

Thomas Russel staff of teachers and Mrs. Roberts have been awesome in terms of helping me as a single parent. They have helped my child over come many obstacles and challenges I did not see my child having and also have pushed her to excel. Academically this school is up to par electives not so good can use more choices but overall I give 5 star rating thank you!

Mostly good teachers. Stress their importance in the transition to high school but value not necessarily seen. Choice of elecives could be better.

Some good teachers in a supportive environment. Good response from principal and counselor. Teachers attentive to student's needs in most cases.

Excellent teachers and teacher to student ratio. Younger teachers seem to get in touch with students more.

My husband and both of children have attended this school and are very satisfied with academic programs and extracurricular school activies. Academic staff is knowledgable understanding and caring to student's needs. Most important key to success of Thomas Russell is parent teacher communication. School faculty has encouraged parent envolvement in their children's school activities which helps in making the student's school experience as pleasant as possible.

I just want to say first off I think Russell has a great and caring teaching staff. The teachers are wonderful & really give 110%.. With that said I also feel that the campus is not safe. Too many times are there youth on campus right after school that do not belong there. Too many times are Russell students confronted and challanged by kids who dont even belong to the school district. It really concerns me that they do not have control over their environment when it comes to safety.
