The Urban League St. Academy is a great place for African American kids who have reached the end of their ropes with the public schools. The staff is great -- they are straight with the kids they know very well what kinds of problems the students have and they don't let the students put things past them. At the same time they work very hard to get the students to work with them and understand the importance of graduating and get them into some kind of post high school program. The staff goes out of their way to work with these kinds of students. They understand them and they get them to graduate.
