I heard of this School from word of mouth and decided to learn more about the school personally. My child has Autism Spectrum and has been home school this school season So when I learned that Hunters Glen Elementary; Would be able to specialize in my child needs; I looked no further. I'm proud to say that My Children will be attending Hunters Glen next school season.

My child is a current student in grade K. I receive a folder that gives check marks regarding my child's behavior I.e out of seat without permission; bickering with other children etc.. With that being said my husband and I decided to drop in and observe the overall environment. During our visit we saw that all children were out of their seats every two minutes and a frustrated teacher with a lack of classroom management skills. Overall the class was quite chaotic. So my husband and I decided to discipline our child based on his productivity and work quality. We find it hard to work on discipline when he is subject to what I call a zoo like environment. We are currently looking for another school for our child. Hunters Glen and many other schools are teaching based on meeting district standards versus addressing each students needs. I won't blame the teachers but the public school system as a whole is slowly failing. Furthermore teachers need to make more money!

Hunter's Glen Elementary has failed the students and the parents for preparing them for the real world. Our kids are falling behind and they do not care. As a parent I have been staying on top of my child's behavior and assignments and still she is falling behind. She will no longer attend Hunter's Glen after this year. Please do not send your childern here. They will not successed!

Over the last 3 years Hunter's Glen Elementary has declined in academic excellence. Recent leadership changes mass departure of experienced teachers and a lack of parental/teacher relationship push is pushing this school's performance to subpar standards. There seems to be no dedication through the administration to push the children's overall academic excellence to where it needs to be as once before achieved.
