My son has received an excellent education in Centerton Elementary. The teachers are all caring and giving. The Principal is extremely caring and knows each child by their first names. This school has always expected their students to preform at their highest level which I feel everyone should.

My niece has attended this school for at least 3 grades now. My niece has always had a love of school and had excellent grades until attending here. With uncaring teachers and a principal who doesn't even know half the students names and one who does not get involved in the daily activities of the students my niece now does not feel as enthusiastic about school as she once did.
We went from Brooklyn Elem. to Centerton and find them to be quite comparable. They are both fine schools after a talk with my childs 1st grade teacher about what she expected from her everything is looking up. She realized she needed to ease up a little. Really most schools are good if you have communication with the teachers and staff and work through the problems. Everyone is friendly my girls seem to enjoy it. It is more difficult than Brooklyn but as far as staff goes they are the same really.
As a former parent of this school I found many teachers to be unfeeling and not really liking students. You best not disagree with the principal as she will put you on her 'BAD' list. A few teachers second and third grade are super. They are very helpful and want what is best for an 'all around' good student. Discipline can be one of intimidation and threatening. I have witnessed this with the principal and a teacher. Students who are struggling should look elsewhere in the district as they are nothing but in the way at Centerton. They are unwanted. Many have left Centerton and gone to other schools in the district because of the lack of patience and understanding with the problems these students have.
I received a top quality education at Centerton. It helped me to develop my career. The teachers and principal are the greatest.
This is the best school in the district. My grandchild is receiving a wonderful education. The programs they offer are excellent. I think anyone who says other wise has a problem child. However I have seen the principal take great care with every child problem or not. She knows all the children by their first name and has received the respect from all the children teachers and parents.
In reference to the article listed on this website entitled 'Imagining Your Ideal School' the comments of 'colorful classrooms and dynamic teachers' certainly do not apply to this school. Previous comments are surely made by parents who don't know what a 'really good' school is. A 'really good school' should not only enrich a child with the joys of learning but provide the emotional positive reinforcement to feel good about themselves. If you have a child who is struggling I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere for their education.
I have had 4 children attend this excellent school and have found the teachers parents and principal are the greatest. The students are well mannered and respect each other. Teachers strive to keep students at the best they can be.
My son has been recieving a very good education at Centerton. He recieves special education instruction and speech therapy services that are top quality. The teaches are very caring and concerned. It really is a good school.
