I have a child who currently goes there. probably one of the worst schools in rocky mount. the leadership there is ridiculous

Notice that all of the good reviews are from teachers. They just want to improve the school and make it look better than it really is.

This school still has a lot of bullying problems! Have had problems all year every time I call or go up to the school I get nowhere! I ask for someone to call and they never do. Thank God my child will not go here next year! I hate to even give it one star!

This year Nash Central Middle has improved very much. Students feel safe from home.

me and lots of other students would like to thank our princibles nd teachers for alll they have done ...this year has been the best we have had at NCMS thanks from alot of 8th graders

This 2009 school year is great I'm an eighth grader this year it is my last year. Ever since we got the new principal this year the school has completely changed. This new principal knows how to handle the school he is very strict but in a great way. He has completely changed this school for the better.

This is the worse school ever and needs to be shut down. There is no Displine and the students are out of contral and ive had a probley for three years im just glad to be going to the high school now. I had no homework and didnt learn all three years.

I'm a student at Nash central middle i personally think of Nash central as a school that was fished out of the sewer of unfulfilled dreams i really hate this school i mean the teachers have no control of the school and the principals have no idea what to do with the students i really wish they would do somthing about it.

This school is out of control. I've had nothing but problems for the past 3 years. I'm so glad that this is his last year. I hope that my youngest child will not attend this school. I can't put up with another 3 years of NCMS. Everytime I have called or gone up there on problems I don't get anywhere with the administrative people. They don't want to hear a word that I need to say.

This school has no discipline and is very out of control!!!!!

I don't even know that I would give this school 1 star! Thank God this is my childs last year and my youngest son 'will not' go to this school. From day one I've had nothing but problems and everytime I called or went to speak to someone about a problem I got NOWHERE!!

My daughter went from homework everynight in elementary school to nothing in middle school. I think it's ridiculous NC has an educational lottery now so there should be no reason why Nash Central Middle School shouldn't have enough books for everyone. I think the schools administration needs to be changed (like wiping the slate clean) and bring in all new people with fresh ideas and disciplinary actions & results. Red Oak Middle School doesn't have 3/4 the problemactic issues that NCMS does. I worry for my daughter everyday. Some of the kids use such foul language that If I were their parent I would probably smack their face. There is no sense in it and the administration allows it to continue.

I disagree with some of the comments made in this review. I am a parent and I am extremely satisfied with the education my child is receiving at this school. Discipline is a problem whereever you go but we as parents must take responsibility for this. Children know what they are taught at home and at school. Look at home before you blame others. They follow the lead set by those around them. Take hold of your children and lead them in the right direction. Cheryle

excellent school teachers are always there to help and are concerned about each and every student

I think this a wonderful school for kids to come enjoy to learn. But the saftey of kids is not right. But overall of the learning process it is great.

This school is in desparate need of stronger discipline. The kids seem to do and say whatever they want not matter how foul or disrespectful and with no regard for anyone. I am constantly worring about my children while they are attending school or riding the bus. It is a sad reflection of our society when we allow 6th 7th & 8th graders dictate how the school is to be ran.

There is little or no control of behavior of students by administration. Problems among students are not taken seriously or addressed in a timely manner. This school needs an overhaul of administration and staff.

Nash Central is an excellent school. The administration and the teachers really care about the students and want them to succeed.

This school is in desperate need of better leadership and stronger discipline. The administration is a joke and useless.
