All 3 of my kids have attended this school. My oldest is now a sophmore at FSU. My second is in 8th grade and youngest is in 5th grade. This school has been consistantly good throughout the years. The teachers are caring and some are very exciting. My youngest loves her science teacher Mr. 'B' (Belsavage). Everyday she comes home with new science facts. Way to go staff! My daughter loves to learn and is an honor roll student. The only complaint I can think of is that the school really focuses on the 'fcat' testing. They school the kids in making a good test score. Otherwise they are great! I would recommend this school to any family.

I think this school is great I use to go to school here my sister use to go to school here and The teachers and the staff are great people and know how to treat the students. They take care of the students like they where there own children and that is what every parents needs to know.
I think HNIS has a great staff and very caring teachers. Our child has received more help in this school then he did all of the years he was at HNPS.
I think this school is terrible. The first day of school they did not make sure the kids got on the correct bus or even got to the bus at all. My daughter missed her bus and we had to pick her up. My wife showed up to get her and no one checked my wifes ID to make sure she was allowed to pick her up. It could of been anyone trying to take her. They send the children home with homework for things they have not even started teaching yet. They are more worried about the children writting in cursive then to have them spell the words correctly.
This school is outstanding. The new administration has brought about much needed change! My child now feels like his school is his second home.
Amazing administrators and very challenging curriculum!
Very dissatisfied with this school. The only focus seems to be to get ready for fcats and not teaching . Too much pressure on the teachers and the children to perform well on the test itself and not teach the proper curiculum. Gives the A+ scoring a new meaning.
I think this is a wonderful school. My kids have gone there for 3 years. In that short time the school has added great inprovements to an already wonderful school. Like the new rooms that were added to the school. My kids enjoyed the opportunity to be involved with the Loop Program. Where my kids were able to continue with the same teacher for two years straight. The teacher they had was able to help them and watch them improve. With the teacher knowing them for two years she knew my childs strengths and weaknesses. She was able to understand my child more. The atmosphere of the school is very pleasant and they encourage good child character building skills. My kids say that they love the principal the staff the kids and their teachers especially Mrs. Laura Adams.
I have had all three of my children attend this school.I have found that the teachers and staff are all considerate and loving role models for the children. My children relate to them as to aunts and uncles from janitors lunch ladies(pardon my gender specific reference) to the teachers and office staff. I feel very fortunate to have had my children attend this school.
HNIS is a top quality school within one of the highest ranking counties in the state of Florida. The teachers are all very dedicated to their students and provide an excellent opportunity for learning. I am one of the teachers within the school and would be happy to answer any questions about our school if emailed. Melonie Dizon firstname.lastname@example.org
