Test Scores by grade

Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA)

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

This is a great school. The class sizes are small and the teachers are very attentive to each individual student. Well behaved children and enthusiastic teachers.

Having 3 children attend this school over the last 14 years shows that this school's consistency in being top-notch is unwavering. Teachers office staff and Principal are attentive and responsive. Continued improvements in testing scores over the past years. Kindergarteners reading and simple math before first grade. Dedicated staff!

My son was in K here. It was a terrible experience. He has ADHD and was treated terrible. He was very excited to attend school and the teacher broke that in a matter of a week. He became fearful and cried everyday. I asked for alternative placement for him but was told there was none. I was asked to put him on medication before they would allow him to return to the classroom (which I now know was illegal) My heart breaks that I forced my son into this building everyday unknowing to what was happening to him on the other side. The teachers lack of experience made the situation worse as did the principles lack of empathy.
