If Clara Barton were still alive she'd hang her head in shame at how some of these teachers who are supposed to be teaching these children treat these kids. Awful teaching staff not really teaching these children anything. Grading based on how much the teacher likes you not on your academic skills. Worst mistake a parent can make by letting your child attend this so called school.

Clara Barton I could picture it now. I researched the high school I wanted to attend. I heard about this school because it was close to my zone but I also found out that you can choose a school that can help you learn about you want to become professionally. I remember growing up I always told my dad I wanted to be doctor. So I said that all the way through however I started thinking about being a nurse. I said that would do me fine. Clara Barton built on the image of a nurse and I fet that was the best choice. Although I made my decision throughout the years I began learning about the other health fields that I never knew. Such as Dental Assistants Medical Assitants Dental Technicians other than LPN there was also a business program. I remember when I met one of the students from the Dental Program she made me fascinated about all the things she did. I also did not realize that this skill was going to help me land a job. I graduated from Clara Barton as a certified Dental Assistant and and I am studying Densitry. If you apply yourself and explore what this school offers. You too might be on the verge of a great career. So explore Clara Barton.

Clara Barton has gotten worst over the years. I am a freshman there and I hate it.. I Hate It Soooo Much and I want to transfer but I can't. I feel like this school is driving me insane.

Clara Barton HS has great teachers. They do take the time to make sure the student is understanding the different programs being offered in the school which include nursing dental social service and business. I would tell any student who has any interest in participating in nursing to please attend clara barton. The teacher's in all the programs are great and guide their students. Better than that they keep them motivated.

As a student i can honestly say this school is horrable the staff does not make u feel welcomed or wanted at all....even if u try your hardest to pass a class they still fail you...i think it's all about favorites in that school plus more and more fights break out each day the people come to school 1/2 nakid gateway program is just there to mess up the students avrage and the princble dosent care about the students he only cares about saving his preciuos clara barton. I would not recomend this school the classes are overcroded ( 38 in a class) you can hardly move in the hallways the school has a week foundation and if you enjoy your child getting horrable grades dont matter how hard they try then this is the school 4 u

Clara Barton is very good high school. Clara Barton is to prepare students with an interest in the health profession for college and/or an entry-level position in a heath career. The programs include Gateway Honors and health professions majors ( LPN. MA NA DA DL and Vision Tech

To those who criticize Clara Barton I believe it's because they haven't been doing what they're supposed to. As a former student I must say that many of my teachers were caring. This is not to say all of them are but many were. The music program specifically band taught by Mr. Stephen Neverson performs an amazing show every year. There are many teams offered to satisfy many interests. Gateway is a great program for those who want to become doctors. It's academically challenging because of the mandatory minimum 85 GPA. It prepares you well for college and Maurice Pahalan tries to give as many opportunities as possible to his students.

Clara Barton is not the best High school but it's certainly not the worst. yes there's drama the occasional fights but what school doesn't? I happen to be a graduating class of 2010 & i had fun. If you want more direction for college you should join Gateway. Gateway helps you stay on you A game. On of the rules on staying you must maintain a 80-85+ average. It also helps you build you college resume too.

This school is one of the worst school you can every choose to send your child to. Speaking as a former student of Clara Barton HS the teachers here don't give a hoot about you and neither does the principal the secruity in that school is outrageous I say this because they allow you 3 mins to get to class and if you are not able to you get swept and handed a referal even if you are on the 1 floor or even the basement and half to walk up all those stairs plus go on the other side of the building they don't care and they only want to make money off of the students there if you lose something you have to pay.I am a former student and I didn't even finish my 4 years i switch to another school this term don't believe the hype of CBHS

This school is okay. If you want to go onto the nursing program do not enter into gateway. Overall the school is okay its not the worst and its the the best. The security could be quite outrageous at time if your not in your class in the 3 minutes your swept. Goin through scanning in the moring coould be also outrageous. The prinicipal involement is very low but its a good school for nursing. There isnt much extracurrical activities.

I think this school delivers the highest quality education a public school has to offer I would also recommend this school for any student who has an interest in the medical field. My daughter attends Clara Barton and commutes from Queens I can contact any member of staff at any time. Great music program.

Attending Clara Barton was one of the best choices that I made in my educational career. The teachers are caring and attentive and the school offers programs and incentives that cater to and encourage students to be their best. I graduated from this school in 1997 with great knowledge experiences and friends. Barton continues to be a wonderful school for students pursing any degree. My younger sister attending Barton and left with the same feeling that I have. It truly is a wonderful High School.

I find that the over-all the school is pretty decent. My daughter is currently enrolled in the school's Gateway program which is geared to prepare the students for a career in medicine. Not nursing(which there is absolutely nothing wrong with). The program has set high academic standards where the student is required to maintain an 85 average. That's one thing that bothers me these young people are smart I think if you ask less of the students you get less. They should have their goals set just a little higher. The higher the mark the more they will stretch. Those minds need to be strertched so they can dream more and strive to attain a higher prize.

the acedemic programs are excellent practical nursing classes are well organized gives the children a great exposure to the health field. It causes the students to become more disciplined efficent and organized.
