Regents Exams (RE)

In 2011-2012 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics, global history and geography, and US history and government are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

I love Curtis HS because of how passionate the faculty parents and students are about Curtis. We have great 'Warrior' pride. The faculty works endlessly to boost the confidence of our students and to set them on the correct path for their future. Curtis is always reaching out to help those in need in the community and teaches the students how important it is to be involved. I am proud to be a Curtis parent a Curtis Warrior. Most importantly I love that fact that my son is proud to be part of the Curtis Family...

Curtis High School has a magnificent history of over 100 years and the most beautiful architectural edifice I have ever seen as part of a school building. However these are only the superficial and external attributes of Curtis high School. Curtis has an amazing teaching staff and administration and a wonderfully diverse array of students. I have loved Curtis High School from my first encounter and am happy to say that although I live in Brooklyn I am grateful to travel to work at Curtis every day.

I graduated from Curtis High School two years ago already but I still remember to this day how much fun I had learning all that I did at that school. The teachers are friendly and encouraging the academics are great and the school itself has an amazingly energetic vibe to it. I miss that place a lot!
