See http://www.engageny.org/sites/default/files/resource/attachments/test_score_release_letter_to_parents.pdf from New York's Commissioner of Education for more information on these changes. In 2013-2014 New York used the New York State Assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, and in grades 4 and 8 in Science. At present 2013-14 results are available only for English language arts and math. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York. The goal is for 90% of students to mee

My son is a student here and I am currently looking for a new school. If you have a choice please do not sent your child here. Its so over crowed. The kids here are rude mean and horrible. I guess the anti-bullying movement does not apply here. My son has been targerted by at least 3 bullies. I have complained and sought help many times to no avail. The teachers are ok not the worst but also not the best. The building is old and run down. The classrooms are falling apart and dirty. I can not wait until my sons transfer takes place. I will say good bye and good rideance to this nightmare of a school.

This schoo is extravangant by all means. With its sophisticated means of learning IS237 is one of the top middle schools out there. The teachers also care about the well-being of his/her pupil. Thankyou.
