I am currently an 8th grader this year. I have been appreciating this school since i was in 6th grade. I hold my heads high every time I walk out of that school because I know that they work hard to help all of their students. I have learned a lot from this school. They discipline you they teach you everything they know. They support you with anything. They will give advice on anything you need. Every time I walk out of those doors I see teachers staying late just to review things with some students who couldn't process some things. This school is a second home we all treat each other equally and we never leave people behind. The graduating class of 2014 got into several good high schools such as LaGuardia Baruch Beacon and some even got a scholarship for boarding schools. The reason why those freshmans are where they are standing right now its because this school gave everything they have to help students. - a current student at NSLA

Im currently an 8th grader at this school. It is amazing all the teachers and staff know my name the counselor's listen he classes are very understandable. I love this school since i entered it in 2011 for 7th grade. I definately recommend this school to students and parents who want a safe and welcoming environment.
I am a current eighth grader at MS.244 and I really love this school I've been representing this school since 6th grade and now that this is New School for Leadership and ARTS we have much more extra curriculur activities and everyone gets along and this school is just great I would really recomend you'd send your child to our school at NSLA Arts Academy!

This school is the best. I'm now attending N.S.L.J. I'm in the 7th grade and almost every staff member knows my name. Meaning that they really help you out and they are try in to make u feel very comfortable. Also there's a lot of activities so its also really fun. Really good school.
NSLJ is an excellent school my two sons graduated from this school and the seed of success that the teachers and Ms. Peterson instill in my two boy I will be forever grateful. Upon graduating I was very afraid of what High School to pick Mr. Hendrickson took care of all my gears and both my sons are 90% average and till today they stop by NSLJ to see all of the remarkable staff this school has now I am proud to say my two daughters will also attend NSLJ this coming school year. This school should be recognized for what it truly is an EXCELLENT SCHOOL
This was the worst school when I attend in 1995 as JHS 143; my daughter attends what is now MS 244 which has a great and dedicated principal and staff. The school has many programs which cater to both the students and parents. The school is currently a B school that with time and further parent involvement is sure to become a A school.
this is a wonderful school and the reason I know this is because i attended this school
I am currently attending NSLJ-MS 244 and I am an 8th grade student. I think this school is okay. We have a lot of extra curricular activities and we are always busy. In our school we have single sex classes and another school with us called Marie Curie.
