My child and me had very bad experience with this school. Greedy angry and rude staff.

There is nothing special at this school. There is nothing extra offered to the children they receive physical education once an week and only because the parents pay for it. There is no art education and a very limited music education. There is no extra help available before or after school and many of the teachers are older and uncompromising. I would not recommend it there are many other options out there.

During my time at this school there was very little tolerance and diversity. As a lone African American at this school the students and teachers were very unaccepting rude and showed no care for me whatsoever. I remember going to school here and students used to make fun of me for putting my sandwich in foil. The teachers accused me of trying to stab someone with a pencil even though the other student stole it from me. They moved me from the gifted class even though my grades were perfectly fine. This school is overrated the teachers and students are cruel and unorthodox they show no acceptance for other cultures and diversity. I would not recommend this school for everyone.

When our teacher said in September that every kid in her gifted K class would know how to read by February I didn t believe her. To my surprise my daughter is reading level H books now! In spite of challenging budget year PS-195 is finding ways to offer chess yoga music and computer classes to all children even in K! A new afterschool program is now available in the school building. My kid loves her school her teacher and her class!

Both of my children have attended P.S.195 and the change that I had noticed is not for the better. The amazing teachers that made this school what it was are leaving and the ones taking their place definitely do not measure up. My older child is in honors in all classes while my other child's level of education in an eagle class does not compare. Don't get me wrong it is still a good school but the teachers are what makes the biggest difference!

My son is attending PS 195 Kindergarten. Was there in Pre-K as well. We are lucky with the teacher this year but the school has some issues with informing parentrs about the tests the kids are going to take etc. Overall the school is great I do not see any other choice living nearby.

Our daughter attends P.S.195. This is her 4th year in school. She loves her teachers the school staff the classes everything. Each new school year she says how much she misses her previous teachers and how great everyone is. The standards and expectations of P.S.195 are high but the students do not seem to have a problem meeting them. The school really is a second home to students. Next year our younger daughter is starting Pre-K at P.S.195 and we feel confident that she will enjoy and fall in love with the school teachers and everything it has to offer.

I have 2 children in PS 195. This school is known for a good reputation but the teacher is the one that makes all the difference. And I have to say that my child in kindergarden program is totally terrified of her teacher. The whole year has been a huge disappointment. I believe children are graded unfairly and not according to their efforts and knowledge but according to some other rules. I can't wait for this year to end and get over this experience.

My son finished kindergarten-excellent program in the regular class although there was a gifted-talented program as well. He is reading fluently and not just one syllable plain words but books for kids in 2nd 3rd grade. Great art program safety and discipline are top notch.

I went to PS 195 for 4th and 5th grade. I am now a freshman in HS. From the beginning PS 195 was my second home the kind caring atmosphere and learning environment paved the way for my success. The teachers are great and they taught me so much. From an early age they teach children to work hard. It was so much fun going to that school and I learned so much while having that fun. They taught me how to be a good student and I even use some of the skills I learned from there in my life now. Thank you PS 195 for everything!

P.S. 195 had been like a second home to my child. On the last day of school every year the first thing I heard from my child was 'When is school goin to start again?' The Principal Leadership Teacher Quality Extracurricular activities parent involvement and safety discipline has made school fun to go to for both of my daughters. Thankyou P.S.195 for everything.
